It's also extremely easy to assemble as Georgina, who took part in our MFM tests, put it together speedily and didn't have to consult the instructions. It's also a great travel cot. It folds flat and easily fits into a bag. The Next2me Magic, which was shortlisted for the Best Cot, Crib or Moses Basket at the 2021 Mother&Baby Awards, is also on the larger side however it is still compact and easy to attach to your bed. Georgina found it easy to put together, though she did find that the zips could have been more clearly explained on the instruction sheet. Easy to clean If you're considering bedside cribs and travel cots make sure they come with a mattress cover which can be washed in the machine. This will help keep it free of leaky nappies, infant sick and drips. It's also a good idea to choose one that is able to be disassembled and dismantled in parts, so that you can access all the corners and crevices for a thorough cleaning and sanitising. This is important, as it's the best way to make sure that all germs and dirt have been removed. Verify that the sides of the crib are secure to ensure that your baby doesn't fall down or get trapped.
