She also enjoyed that the side was lowered so she didn't need to reach over her partner to lift the baby out to feed her at night.

The CoZee is available in oak or charcoal and is a chic accessory to any bedroom. It looks more like an expensive piece of furniture than many of the other cribs that we've tested, and can appear rather utilitarian. The Maxi-Cosi Lora

The Iora is a bedside bassinet that helps parents feel connected to their infant while they sleep. It can be adjusted up and down and can be moved through three slide positions to fit next to the parent's bed, or in the corner of the room so that baby is always within arm's reach. The Iora is a smaller bedside crib that folds flat. It also comes with a travel bag to allow it to be carried anywhere. Our mom testers were able to move it from room to room, and believed that it was a good size for a small bedside cot, not too big or small. They also appreciated the large storage basket which is ideal for stowing spare bedding or nappies.

This is a great choice for parents who want to co-sleep, but do not want to share their beds or whose partner may be prone to mobility issues, such as arthritis or back pain. Our mum testers were thrilled to be able to easily access their baby while in the Iora and that it had an adjustable reflux incline that helped alleviate gas.

Our mothers appreciate that the mattress follows NICE guidelines. These include placing the baby in a Moses basket or crib on its own, without toys, blankets or pillows. The mattress is also firm and comfortable for the baby and sheets are readily available. It's not as light as the other smaller cribs on our list, so if prefer something lighter and easier to move, you can choose another alternative.
