Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.

click here to read and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It will then automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

These can be set via the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself.
