Bedside Cot Reviews A bedside crib, also referred to as a baby bassinet, is positioned next to your bed so that you are able to safely attend to your baby during night feedings and nappy-changings, without having to leave bed. These cribs are fantastic for helping to build independence in your child as they get more comfortable in their own space to sleep. The Joie Roomie Glide The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that allows parents to sleep together with their baby while ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion is able to ease your baby back into sleep and its innovative features let you keep an eye on your baby without leaving your bed. The sliding side panel of the cot can be raised and lowered with a simple pressing of a button. This makes it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to accommodate the mattress of nearly every size bed. Additionally, it has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it's placed at just the right level. The cot is cushioned, has mesh sides to increase ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable and you can keep the crib clean. It is fitted with a mattress sheet that can be used for the crib. Unlike some other bedside cribs unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for most beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib even when it's not connected to the bed. It comes with a variety of incredible features that were designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind. One thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is ideal for infants, it will not last long once your child is six months old, which means you will have to purchase a bigger cot. But, in general Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she was particularly impressed by its elegant design. John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for such a cot. She was pleased with the way it was positioned in her bedroom and thought its gray color would be appropriate for the majority of modern homes. However, she did point out that it isn't an ideal idea to rock a smaller baby, as it can create a bad habit for later sleep patterns. The Tutti Bambini CoZee The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It features a drop side rail that is easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to disturb your baby or get up - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It is also lightweight and easy to move around during naps or when traveling. It's made from soft materials and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak and various melange fabrics that blend with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured for baby-safety. It took her about 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support number if you have any problems. In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed that include the ability to attach to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option that can be used to ease reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed in the machine and is a must for all the spills and snot that accompany a new baby! If you want to keep your baby close during the first six months as they're able to go to sleep on their own The CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't feed your baby or magically sleep them it will gently rock them until they go off! The Chicco Next2Me Magic This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has a lot of amazing features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable for babies up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel using a new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure fit under any bed. foldable bedside crib appreciated the ease of use offered by the side panel which can be moved upwards and downwards with just one click of a button. This was especially helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them. The side panel can be lifted on its own, but it's not recommended since it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place when it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is fantastic to have peace of mind when you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds. Telescopic legs permit the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It has a tilting feature for reflux babies, and an option to rock to ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also incredibly spacious and offers great ventilation due to its mesh sides. Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does come with an extensive instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers however, it is easily moved from one place to another. It's also able to fold up into its travel bag which is a great option when you need to transport it. The only negative our testers found is that the side panel did not move as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to observe your baby from the bed. The Shnuggle Air If you're looking for an ideal bedside crib that can develop with your child, then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth looking into. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be converted into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your new born. The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other cribs. The mesh side panels with dual-view as well as the hypoallergenic, breathable airflow mattress increase airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. A gentle incline option helps to ease reflux and colic while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby at night. The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to get started. It took us around an hour to put together and was relatively simple. The only issue with the instructions was that some pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the procedure was easy and the materials used were of high quality. The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It lets them reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without leaving their bed. It's also great for parents who prefer not to go through the stress of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down for a nap. During our testing we noticed the smooth motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely beneficial in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major selling point for our exhausted test moms. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that doesn't rock nor does it come with extra features like an audio system.
