This bedside crib, designed for divan beds is easy to put together. The instructions can be a bit tricky to follow, especially because there is a specific order in which the pieces need to be inserted, however MFM testers found it very easy once they got used to it.

Easy to assemble

The crib is simple to put together with poles that you bend to the desired position, and a sheet that you pop over the mattress. After it's all set it's time to slide your baby in. Mom tester Emily says it took her a couple of attempts to master the art of assembling it, but once she did it was quick and easy. The daughter also did well sleeping.

It includes a bassinet for newborns and a foldable mattress, so it's suitable for babies from birth. It also has a side-zip which allows you to lie with your baby as they sleep, then roll them into the crib and zip them up for safety. It's a little heavier but it's still small and light. It's simple to put together, and its four mesh sides allow for ventilation and visibility. It also has a handy changing station with a nightlight, music and changing station however our mother tester Nicola discovered that her son Olly did not really appreciate the additional features, and she found them to make her work a little more difficult in the dark.

In addition to the additional accessories the cot is basic and straightforward in its design, but still one of the top available due to its weight and ease of use. It is suitable from birth and can be easily converted into a toddler travel crib or playpen. One side opens for easier access. It comes with a bag, making it easy to transport and store when not in use.

Some travel cots are so small they can fit in luggage. This is great for travel. Others are larger and require transport in checked luggage So, be sure to check airline rules and regulations before purchasing a travel crib. Aside from this, it's important to consider the frequency you'll use the travel cot in order to determine its size, capacity and weight.
