Select models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs. A lot of the top models work with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, create schedules, and choose cleaning modes. 1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior. When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate the downstairs area, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, along with carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and was able to cross thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down stairs in a single move. The S1 also did a fantastic job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or carpet. Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop. The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more care. 2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed. This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It includes an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished when needed. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it is sometimes hung in the small rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary within the application). Its mopping is quite impressive, and comes with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station as required. 3. Dreame X40 ultra Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum comes with more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed. The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping performance is augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards. Its navigation system is nimble, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can easily move from one room to another without reversing direction it is a useful feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than other models, however, and tends to leave a wide margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots. Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting, and view 2D and 3-D maps. It can be operated via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app and external controls. 4. Roomba Q5 Pro A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up debris and dirt but it's not always able to reach every last particle of dust. It's important to vacuum frequently, every week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your cleaning routine. The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body. The Q5 is one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen in this price range even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation. Its mops are also impressive, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any issues with high-pile carpets or area carpets, but it didn't clean up cat litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance. 5. K10 Plus K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home, which allows it to get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. This device also collects dust in a larger bin that means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
