g(-1) at pH=2). The physicochemical and structure characteristics of the matrix were judged by Z-potential, FTIR-ATR, SEM-EDS, XRD, and porosity. Langmuir sorption isotherm and pseudosecond-order model gave the best fit. The electrostatic interaction between RR195 (due to the sulfonate groups) and the free amino groupings of chitosan, enabled successive desorption/regeneration oscillations. The maximum removal percentage (>80%) passed at pH=2 due to the cross-linking effect. Experiments at different temperatures allowed the calculation of thermodynamic arguments (?G, ?S, ?H); adsorption was spontaneous, exothermic, and enthalpy controlled.

The presence of inorganic ions ([Formula: see text] ) was psychoanalysed during the adsorption process. This novel biocomposite can be utilized as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly adsorbent for anionic azo dye removal from wastewater. The application of chitosan cross-associated with oxalic acid as a coating of the ceramic support heightened the adsorption capacity and enabled its use under acidic stipulations without solubilization.High phosphate removal practicing La(OH)(3) debased chitosan based composites and mechanistic study. Our present study was to prepare a biomass-patronised adsorbents with high adsorptive capacity and high selectivity to prevent the accelerated eutrophication in water body. To this end, different metal hydroxide (La, Zr and Fe) first was successfully debased on chitosan microspheres. Then the quaternary ammonium group with different content was enclosed into the adsorbent by polymerization.

By comparison of adsorption dimensions, chitosan-La(OH)(3)-quaternary ammonium-20% (CS-La-N-20%) has strong adsorption to phosphate (160 mg/g) by traping nano-sized La(OH)(3) within a quaternary-aminated chitosan and it maintain high adsorption in the presence of salt ions. The pH resultants argued that the CS-La-N-20% would effectively sequestrate phosphate over a wide pH range between 3 and 7 without significant La(3+) leaching. What's more, adsorption capacity on the introduce of positively filed quanternary-aminated groupings was significantly higher than that of the unmodified adsorbents at alkaline conditions. The column adsorption capacity gived 1300 bed books (BV) when phosphate concentration decreased until 0 mg/L at 6 BV/hr. The column adsorption/desorption reveals that no significant capacity loss is keeped, betokening excellent stability and reduplicated use property. pictures unveiled that phosphate adsorption on CS-La-N-20% through ligand exchange (impregnated nano-La(OH)(3)) and electrostatic attraction (positively sended quanternary-aminated groups). All the answers advised that CS-La-N-20% can serve as a promising adsorbent for preferable phosphate removal in realistic application.

Effect of Ferulic Acid-Grafted-Chitosan Coating on the Quality of Pork during Refrigerated Storage.Pork is perishable due to oxidation and microbial spoilage. Furane-alpha -based on biopolymers and phenolic compounds is an effective way to preserve the quality of pork. In this study, ferulic acid-grafted-CS (ferulic acid-g-CS) with strong antioxidant and antimicrobial activenessses was synthesised through a carbodiimide-liaised coupling reaction. The obtained ferulic acid-g-CS was used as an edible coating material for fresh pork. The effect of ferulic acid-g-CS coating on the quality of pork during storage was investigated at 4 °C for 8 days. As likened to the uncoated pork, pork surfaced with CS and ferulic acid-g-CS demoed lower total viable countings, total volatile basic nitrogen values, pH values, thiobarbituric acid reactive cores, and drip losses pork surfaced with CS and ferulic acid-g-CS showed more compact microstructures than the uncoated pork at the eighth day.

2,5-FURANDICARBOXYLIC ACID ushered pork surfaced with CS and ferulic acid-g-CS had better color, odor, and over acceptance in comparison with the uncoated pork. Ferulic acid-g-CS coating, due to its relatively higher antioxidant and antimicrobial activenessses likened to CS coating, had a better performance in refrigerated pork preservation. Ferulic acid-g-CS coating effectively passed the shelf life of refrigerated pork to 7 days. This study disclosed ferulic acid-g-CS coating was a promising technology for refrigerated pork preservation.
