We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." It was able to pick up most types of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area multiple times for an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice touch.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. It's not equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It may get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and often runs out of power before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects in that it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most reasons, since it has a better battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode manually, comes with physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and performs better on low-pile and bare floors.
