Why Buy a Class A Driving License?

A class A license is a commercial driver's license. It allows drivers to drive combination truck-trailers that weigh more than 26,000 pounds. Drivers can also get endorsements such as H (to transport hazardous materials) or P (for passenger vehicles).

What is a Class A License?

A class A driving license is the most expansive commercial driver's license you can get. This is the most commonly used CDL for long-haul trucking. How do you get a Class A License

You must bring a copy of your CDL when you apply for a passport, to board domestic flights, or to enter the United States from Canada or Mexico.

Class A License Requirements

If you plan to operate a large vehicle like a truck, bus, or trailer you'll need a commercial license (CDL). The process to obtain the CDL can be a lengthy one. It requires taking a class that is that is approved by the state, obtaining on-the-road supervision of driving, passing written and practical tests, and going through an extensive background examination. The X endorsement, tanker/hazmat allows you to haul both liquid and gas in one haul, saving time on testing.

When deciding on which of the class A license endorsements you want to get be sure to consider your capabilities and driving preferences. For instance, if you're situated near chemical or industrial hubs The H and N endorsements will give you jobs that are highly sought-after and more lucrative pay. The P and S endorsements can provide opportunities in public transportation or driving school buses, which pay stable salaries with benefits.
