Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you can decide to let the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of operating for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners might miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design lets you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to access low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive available, but it packs in numerous extra features that distinguish it from. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also has several functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

robot vacuum cleaners reviews has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
