It is not all that different than the way telemarketers are advised to really smile while they are talking because people will be able to "hear" the smile. When you imagine "I'm good at what I do," "I can get this done" and "I will meet all of my goals today" that approach will infuse your work, customers will pick up on it and then they will think the same things about you.
