Ron K Do you have examples or sample renderings of any other effects?

Nick Katz I don't understand exactly what this does. Is it just for thumbnails?

Louis H Nick... from my playing around with the Trial version it is not simply for thumbnails. I have taken some of my pictures and played around with the various 3D effects and when I render them the program allows me to set the Width and Height (Max of 2048 x 2048) in pixels for the final output (as PNG, Jpeg, Gif, and BMP). I still haven't decided if I would use it enough to justify a purchase, even with today's discount, but I am leaning towards it. I've tried some of the results as Wallpaper and it's fun and funky, even with the watermark due to it being a trial version, but where I am most interested in it is in preparing photos for slide shows where having easy access to creating the 3D effects could be very helpful.

Nick Katz Thanks Louis,

You'd think they would have some samples or something on the web site. But what do I know?
I'd probably give the trial a spin, but it's a new computer and I'm not ready yet to let it get messy with lots of installs and uninstalls.

Thomas Lattner They say that you can run batch jobs. Did anyone try this?
I would like to run a somehow special batch that takes the same picture as a source and produces several output pictures having one (or more) parameter(s) changed.

This way I could get a flipping effect when putting the outputs together in one animation e.g. with animake.

Any other ideas to achieve the same result?

Thank you!
Thomas

Louis H Nick, I agree - their website leaves a lot to be desired. I am happy with the program for what it does, but it would be nice if the company even provided an assortment of Youtube video tutorials - especially since the "Help" page on their website is pretty useless!

Thomas - The only "batch jobs" I have been able to figure out is setting the same parameters for a group of images. But the feature you are suggesting would be a GREAT added feature for future versions.

I am planning on experimenting this weekend, however, with a screen capture program to see if I can somehow record short videos of me spinning a photo around and changing the parameters. (But this still wouldn't accomplish what you are wanting to do.)

Hopefully Binerus will read your comments and consider it for a future feature.

Something I would like to see added is the ability to apply the same 3D effects to the Y-axis that you can now apply to the X-axis.
