Ralph Bressler Is the purpose of this program to generate sitemaps for people or for SEO? Much of your documentation seems directed at experts in this field rather than those who are just getting started. The instructions seem to be fragmented and to jump around from place to place and topic to topic and seem to be directed toward those who already know the program. Your programs have a lot to offer with many options...perhaps too many which makes the learning curve rather steep.

A1 Sitemap Generator defaults to hide all options except a few important ones like website address. It also supplies some configuration presets. Hence most users will *not* need to touch any settings. (It sounds like you switched off "easy mode"?)

However, I do still highly recommend skimming the tutorials when getting started creating sitemaps, you can simply check the tutorials (linked from the BDJ sales pages)

The rest of the the help is organized around answering "how-to" questions (and as such can appear fragmented I guess) - they are there in case you need something advanced or complex.

(Regarding "experts in the field", it is true that I have always tried to make sure A1SG would never turn up shorthanded when it comes to tools, features and how detailed it can be configured.)

Metta Zetty What is the advantage of using this software over Google's own Site Map generator? Is it simply that the site map can be customized?

Google's own open source sitemap solution is based on installing a script that reads server logs if I recall...

But if you are asking in general terms as compared to competition, you can get a feeling for the depth in A1 Sitemap Generator by switching of "easy mode" to see all the options and compare. (Even if you use the default settings / presets, it will give you a good feeling for what A1SG supports on the inside.) The product has been continuously developed since 2005/2006.

Answering this, I was close at writing an extended features list. However, there's already list of sample features listed on BDJ and my own product page. You can try check them if you want.

If you have a problem or questions regarding anything when trying A1 Sitemap Generator, simply post them here or email, and I will do my very best to answer them immediately.

Rosalind Share For whatever reason, it has unregistered itself, possibly when I updated to windows 10.

The file is called wd7-user which is unrecognised. If I rename it to sg7-user it is recognised but I am told the user.msd file is broken.

I have spent 30 minutes trying to re-register without any success.

Please address this asap.

sg7-user = license file used for A1 Sitemap Generator

You can not mix license files from different products - it will not work!

The product you have purchased in the past is A1 Website Download - not A1 Sitemap Generator - at least not through the email address (or name) you emailed me from.

If you purchased A1 Sitemap Generator through a different email address (I tried search the customer database for your name as well) and lost the license email - let me know, and I will try find you, so I can resend the license email.

I have emailed you your A1 Website Download 7.x license email incase you have lost it.

Bu remember - for our products at least - you can not unlock one product using the license file for another product. That will not work.
