Thomas Schulz There are 4 built-in examples in the software, so you can examples of how to configure text extraction - use the button "Insert various test examples" in "Scraper options" tab. You will also be able to see how the data output looks like using different configurations.

No "visual scraping setup" is available at present. It may come some day, but the product is at present mostly geared towards super users and/or people who have done some kind of web development or similar.

If you have questions / need help with setup please:
1) Create a project file and email the .ini file
2) Provide test page examples / URLs with the data you want.
3) Provide one or two examples of specific data you would like to extract.

Gunderic Hagen I am interested. The problem is that I downloaded the trial version, entered my own website and......nothing happened. I am sure there are a few tutorials, but could you kindly tell me the first 3-4 buttons to click to start the ball rolling?

Also, it says that the license is per user, so I understand the same user (me) can download it to a few computers. Please, confirm.

Thomas Schulz @Jhon - never heard of search a problem before - but I would like to know more since all my software shares the same installation setup. What Windows version? Are you logged in as an admin? Did you get any error? maybe email info@microsystools.com for fastest reponse

Michael R. Perhaps it might be useful to allow the user to embed a self-written DLL, which would be called for each address and returns a value on which A1WS decides going down this branch or not (or even, if this current data is saved into the output-file).

Or is it already implemented?

I might consider adding a scripting engine in some future version. I won't rule that out. It would at earliest be for 10.x though. I am not so happy about DLL/plugins since I have tried that route before with another tool - in the end a lot of trouble and no regular users benefited from it (no-one released any 3rd party dll/plugins)

Are you encountering cases where the current "Analysis filters" and "Output filters" do not suffice? If so - do please drop me an email with further information

major4579 I downloaded your trial software and installed it on my Win 7 Pro 32-bit system. Every time I try to start the program i get the following error:

Not a very good start. What's happening?

Was this A1 Website Scraper or A1 Keyword Research? And what version? 9.3.2?

I am just asking because offhand I can not reproduce the problem your described on my Windows 10 machine (but I fully recognize that the error is from my software since I recognize "ImageListHistoryRankings")

I will check on WinXP machine later today - but whatever further information you can provide will be helpful

It is a generalized custom website data scraper and hence not particular related to Google searches.

I will soon release an updated video tutorial specifically for A1 Website Scraper. However, until then you can see these:

Zach User Could this, for example, be used to scrape prices of any and all online shops you specify of a specific product, have it compare them all and the be able to list the prices from low to high or high to low in a nice little table with url link and price that was found on the url page?

I know someone who has a program that does something like what I just described but won't share the program with me(Since it was custom made and I don't have the time to learn programming just to program my own program to do this) so I could do it for my own stuff I wanna buy or save for later or just know its historical price for reference.

Thomas Schulz You could use the program to scrape of all products + prices + descriptions and have those data put into a MSSQL/MySQL database e.g. every hour.

(You then view the data in whatever database viewer tool you use and possibly sort data, make queries to it and more. You could also have someone make a small program that e.g. compares to your own prices for the same products and have them updated on your own website. I.e. a price robot.)

There is a learning curve with A1 Website Scraper, but at the same time, it can take off quite some work doing tasks like above when you first know how to use it. (And without having to pay someone to make you a fully customizable crawler that can scrape custom data)
