Without a doubt, the standard Prnt Scrn function holds a top spot in our "Frustratingly Long List of Underdeveloped Microsoft Windows Stock Utilities".

But that's OK, so long as we can offer you awesome applications like ACA CapturePro.

ACA CapturePro is screen capture software, Schwarzenegger-style. It captures just about any portion of the screen that you can imagine, but that's only the beginning.

It can also capture web pages, Flash files, icons, menus, and even those hard-to-grab DirectX and Direct3D games. You can create videos of the action on your computer screen and even monitor activity via timed, unattended screen captures!

Robert Bull Please, can it do "text snaps" like HyperSnap does, and/or OCR the text on captured images?

Alex Sheng Hi Robert, the current version of ACA Capture Pro doesn't support for "text snaps" feature. We will add it in next version.

Stefan Hauber Can I make continuous captures of more than one window-client-area: Example: Captures for three windows client-areas, saved as ONE_xxxx.jpg, TWO_xxxx.jpg, THREE_xxxx.jpg (where xxxx is an increasing sequence of numbers (e.g. ONE_0000.jpg, ONE_0001,jpg, ...))? (If not, can I run ACA CapturePro in more than one instance?)

Alex Sheng Hello Stefan, yes you can. ACA Capture Pro supports for increasing sequence of numbers. To enable this feature, do followings steps:

1. Click Tools - Options menu, and then click Save tab
2. Select "Make filename series with template" in Filename option.
3. Click Template Settings button to change the template settings( e.g. IMG#### means that the file will be saved as IMG0001.jpg, IMG0002.jpg, ...)

Stefan Hauber Thanks Alex,

but can it also do capture two or more window-client-areas concurrently (in parallel)?

Alex Sheng To capture two or more window-client-areas concurrently, please do following steps:

1. Click menu Capture - Region.
2. Click using your left mouse button to indicate where you want to start the capture area, and then release it.
3. Drag the outline to enclose the area you want to capture, the size (in pixels) of the capture will be shown within the help window.
4. If you want to end the capture, click the left mouse or press Enter key to complete the capture.
If you want to capture more areas, press "+" key, and then go to step 2.

Stefan Hauber Hello Alex, I just installed the trial version to find out how easy CapturePro can handle my requirements above. Unfortunately, as it seems, it couldn't do this concurrent capturing at all. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding what I wanted ideally to do:

Let's say I have 3 windows which content is changing permanently (e.g. webcams). Now I wanted your program permantently makes snapshots of all three windows (or regions of it) every second. I.e. after one minute running there should be automatically 3 x 60 images having been captured.

As far as I see the only possibility to do so with 1 region is to use the menu-item Start Auto-Timer in the main-menu Capture. When having defined the window/region and the capture-interval capturing is done. While this capturing is in progress it seems not to be possible to use this menu again for another window. (The item changed to 'Stop Auto-Timer' meaning I had to stop capturing my first window before being able to capture the content of my second one).

I also tried to call CapturePro a second time (2nd instance). But this was not possible too.

So no chance to get my three windows being captured concurrently?

Randy Martin I have an MP3 audio file I want to use as the music for an eventual video.

I have created a Prezi I want to use for the video in that same video.

I want to put the audio into a final file, then play that file so I can hear it and AT THE SAME TIME, record the Prezi (that I will be manually activating to the music tempo) and have the final product be a YouTube playable video.

Can I do this with ACA?
