Kate Hadley I can see no way to download a demo of this - neither can I see any sort of discount code - have spent the last hour messing around trying to make this thing work. I can only get to the check-out at the full price - what was the point of putting this up for grabs WHEN CLEARLY IT ISN'T. Yes I'm annoyed.

Ralph Bressler I was sent to the Adobe site where I was easily able to add the deal to my cart and check out. I have already downloaded both programs to my computer with no problems.

marek jedlinski Nothing to do with BdJ, but this has to be the worst, most useless set of screenshots EVER. How does a big tech company think they're going to motivate my buying decision by showing me pictures of kids, puppies, dolphins, flowers, tourist traps and strangers instead of details of the actual interface?

Kate Hadley Thanks everyone but Jason I followed the link you typed and there wasn't a 'drop down' menu only an advert for 50% off and when I follow that, it gives me the option to get %50 off the combined package of Adobe Premiere Elements & Adobe Photoshop Elements. I don't want to purchase both packages - just the Adobe Premiere Elements 10. Can anyone help me here?

MK I think they are all part of Adobe's Black Friday (up to 29th Nov 2011) discount deals. If the URL works:
http://store1.adobe.com/c...ore=OLS-US

The $74.99 bundle is a 10GB to download, so hope you have a very fast internet connection.
15 hours at 1.5 Mbps.
BT won't even give me 1 Mbps (I should be getting 7 Mbps).
Guess I'll need to stick to my 1999 copy of Paintshop Pro 7!

Brenda Adams Amazon.com sells it for same price: 49.99 Why call it a one-day-sale here at Bits du Jour for the same price?

Roger Thomasson @ MK, brenda

Yes, this promotion is indeed part of Adobe's Black Friday sale. It's not exclusive to BDJ (we don't even get a commission of any kind) -- just thought you all might want to know about it :-)

Roger Thomasson @ Kate

I'm not seeing a Premiere link either. Not sure why that is -- it's possible that Adobe made some kind of last minute decision and neglected to let us know. Or maybe we screwed something up.

I've fired off an email to our Adobe contact. Hopefully she'll get back to me soon, but it is a national holiday over here. And also, let's face it, this is Adobe. Sometimes Big Dogs are difficult to handle :-)

Roger Thomasson Ok, I've marked this link as 'broken' so there's no more confusion. Sorry folks, we're as perplexed as you are.

Please note that you can still access the Premier/Photoshop Elements bundle here:

(or via the Adobe website)

Constantin Florea Hi guys. We've managed to retrieve the Adobe Premiere Elements 10 page where you can buy the product at the discount price we've featured. Just click the Buy Now button at the top right, select the Premiere link and in the page which will open click on the yellow Buy button and select Full or Upgrade from the list. The discount is there.

Constantin Florea I've double checked and it seems the discount is available only when buying the Full version and not when upgrading.

Constantin Florea @ Kate: I checked this in FireFox, Chrome, IE, Safari and they all show the yellow Buy button. However when I checked the URL: http://www.adobe.com/prod...ments.html
using Opera, the yellow Buy button is not there. Even after deleting the browser cache. I did this test on two different computers (with two different ISPs). Are you by any chance using Opera to browse to the above URL? If so could you please try the URL in any other browser and see if that works for you?

Kate Hadley Thanks for all your help, it is much appreciated and I know you've done your best but I'm still getting nowhere. So it's time to give up, pity, but that's the way it is. Thanks anyway.

Michael R. I've read that there is something like face-recognition in your programs.

Is it possibe to let Premiere run through a video and cut out all the sections a certain person is not inside the video?

Is it possible to let Photoshop find out the photos a certain person is on (and tag them adequately)?

Another thing I would like to know is, if it does natively(!) work with videos whereever possible and which formats (e.g. MPEG, MOV, H264, AVCHD) it is able to handle natively. With natively I mean that it does not re-encode the frames, if there is no effect used on them. Mainly I just want to cut out interesting parts on a video and would appreciate if this could be done fast and lossless, the main features from a native handling.

Thanks a lot...

Frank Stephens MK, the entire bundle is actually about 6GB. Your Internet congestion problems are local, I had no problem downloading at the full 10Mbps of my connection (I'm not willing to pay for faster).
