Virus Scan for Alt-Tab Terminator

CFGuy Hi - does this program "replace" current alt-tab function in Windows- meaning if this program were installed and I were to click "alt" and "tab" together - would this program then come up vs the "standard" Windows alt-tab program? Thanks.

Cha User Long time Winsnap user here. Just purchased Alt-Tab Terminator, partly because it is actually nicer than Windows 10's own alt-tab, but also to support a developer who has very generous (too generous?) terms: lifetime free upgrades and installation on all computers (as long as I'm the only one using the software, which is more than fair).

Got a client to purchase three licenses of Winsnap the other day - made me feel good, and less guilty about how much Winsnap has helped me over the years for only $20-$30 (can't remember how much I paid for it).

MK Nice program. Just bought it. And then found out ATNSOFT's Key Manager stops working after the first switch in Alt-Tab Terminator.

You may try to disable "Replace Alt-Tab" and/or "Replace Win-Tab" options and see if it works that way (maybe there are also some setting in Key Manager to change). If it doesn't work at all, just ask for refund.

Cha User @MK - it happened to me too. I think restarting KeyManager fixed it. Either way, I ended up changing back Alt+Tab to Windows 10's native, and only mapping Win+Tab to Alt-Tab-Terminator.

They both have their advantages (Windows' being just speed: I have the right Shift key mapped to Alt-Tab (via AutoHotkey), and that caused weird issues with Alt-Tab-Terminator staying in the foreground instead of switching to the next application.)

MK @Alexander Avdonin - it seems to work fine just using the mouse to select Alt-Tab Terminator and/ or the preview windows to shift to. But as soon as selection is made using the keyboard (to show Alt-Tab Terminator or select a window), Key Manager stops working. I'll persevere for a bit, and if I can't correct it, I'll request a refund.

MojoMan Hi,

Does this act as a taskbar replacement as well? I use the taskbar for switching between apps and also to have my most used apps pinned ready for quick use. If you still have to use the taskbar, I doubt that it would save me much bother. If it were a taskbar replacement that would provide all of the taskbar functionality, it may be worth a look.

Mitchell User I have installed the trial. When I press the hotkeys to open the program, it flashes on the screen but then instantly disappears. But when I press the icon amongst the hidden icons under the taskbar, the program opens and stays open. Way too much mouse movement and mouse clicks, I will check to see if this program conflicts with another resident program, Groupy, which also switches between windows. I would lke to get the developer's feed back on this program, however. It looks great.

Mitchell User I turned off Groupy but Alt Tab Terminator still only flashes when hot keys are pressed and I changed the hotkeys from the default setting. Same problem

Dunking @Mitchel - if you pop it up with Alt-Tab then the correct action is that it disappears on release of the hotkeys. Using Win-Tab the window will stick around after releasing the keys.

Note that the Win-Tab feature is an option, so if it doesn't work like that straight away, pop the window up with Alt-Tab and, while holding Alt-Tab, click the hamburger menu at top right and check that 'Replace Win-Tab' is ticked.

Mitchell User @ Dunking. The default hotkeys I used were the default hotkeys for the program and not Alt-Tab. The program window disappears regardless of the combination of hotkeys I use. As I wrote, the program windows stays open only when I open the program by clicking on its icon under the taskbar. Unacceptable.

From their website;

Also you can run it on all your own personal computers, again from their website;

Alexander Avdonin Licenses are lifetime and include free upgrades to all future versions of Alt-Tab Terminator.

Currently, there is no Ultimate Bundle promotion planned on BDJ - maybe later.

Alt+Tab is the default hotkey. ATT switches to the selected task as soon as you release the Alt key. Win+Tab is the default "sticky mode" hotkey. You can set an alternate "all applications" hotkey in the settings (set any combination without Alt if you want to open the task switcher in sticky mode).

It must be visible in the trial version. If you are running Windows 7, Aero theme must be turned on. On Windows 8 and 10, it works with all themes.

I normally don't use Aero themes, but purchased anyway, it is a nice little utility even without the preview.
