Rory Briggs It's astounding the invention some people will go to to scrimp back a few pennies. Why don't they rather just relax and enjoy the software? Or, who know? if they were actually to do something productive in the world of commerce, they would realise how tiresome all the "beggars" can be when you're trying to earn an honest shilling. All part of the me-me-me attitude of the infantilised 21st century, I contend.

Bolide, a nice simple-to-use product. How about, perhaps, some sort of voice manipulation feature in a future version? Just a suggestion.

Louis H @Max - some of the features are a bit buggy on my system. I will contact you through your website with more details, but it will probably be Tuesday before I can. (Need to work this weekend.) They did not stop me from picking up a copy of Altercam for a great discount. :-)

Some things I would like to see added would be the option to capture single image snapshots, the ability to set parameters for some of the effects, such as Tilt-Shift, and more options for Video formats to save as.

@Louis, thank you for the suggestions! Capture single images is the easy task to implement, I think we'll add this in the nearest update. Please, don't forget to contact us about the bugs you found.

@Daniel, yes, go-to Tricks tab and click on "Chromakey" button there. However, this function is experimental, we added it recently and it requires some tweaking. It works fine with the good light conditions and pure green (or blue) background.

First off it isn't a few pennies, it is $20.00. I am disabled and have to make every penny count. Since you seem to be so well off why don't you give me the $20.00 difference? I have purchased most of Max's programs and he knows me via email. If you can only talk down about people without knowing them you should not post anything at all.

Greg Newell I managed to crash the trial version 3 times in less than 10 minutes. This software uses VERY HIGH system resources (25%) and I would not recommend for use in critical meetings. I was willing to pay the $10 but not after seeing the trial. There's too much overhead required for this software and reliability during meetings is critical.

Donald User Can this work "between" my built-in laptop or external webcam and Zoom? Is the download at the website a trial version I can use to see if it works well with Zoom?

Max Smirnoff Donald, yes you can try the trial version first. AlterCam will install the virtual webcam in your system. Select this virtual webcam as the source in Zoom, then broadcast anything you want there using AlterCam app. You can select your real webcam as the main video source for the virtual webcam and apply any amount of effects, overlays, etc

Donald User I gave it a try, and it has two showstoppers for me:

1. It shows my external webcam as too dark (though my laptop webcam is OK). I use my external one because it has better video, so this program doesn't fit my needs well.

2. It adds a noticeable time lag between when I move and when it shows on the monitor, so when I'm speaking, there's a delay between what I see and what I say.

There was an advertisement thrown in there somewhere that I didn't care for, but that may have been part of the trial version. If it's part of the paid version, that would also be a showstopper for me, but even one showstopper makes it not work for me. Thanks for offering the discount, though. If it had worked for me, I would have bought it.

CFGuy @Nico Westerdale and @Bolide® Software - I Just Tried purchasing 3 licenses and it is trying to charge me full price with an error message (in red) by the coupon box that says "coupon has expired". Very frustrating. :-( I will reach out to vendor via their website and hope that they will honor their discounted price. -Cfguy
