Engelmann Software I am sorry. Our software is not able to convert DVD-videos or other videos or audio-CDs that are equipped with an effective copy protection. Annoying, but it was not our idea and we cannot change it.

S C it doesnt just work for android by the way... i will convert to android format which is also playable by many other applications. i purchased their iPhone converter and it also converts to android formats and many other formats!

CthulhuSaves I've never used it, but the screenshots don't show a complicated or messy GUI to me. On the contrary, it appears to be overly simple and straightforward. What's bad about it?

Stormrunner Does this convert into an audio format that can be read as alarms on newer android versions? 4.1.2 seems to not read .mp3, .wav, or .ogg for alarm settings (reads it fine as a ringtone though).

Adrian Miller It probably uses the same free encoding library as most other conversion tools like XRecode, which is free, can convert anything to anything - not a one trick pony and what i use...far better gui too

clive User I just installed this on windows 8.1 and updated flash as it requested. The program runs OK but when I try to convert any video nothing happens - the conversion dialoge opens but does not show any information about the file and there is no progress. I have tried with several different files. Is this compatible with Windows 8.1 64bit pro?

I also thought your program was using some "free" encoding and decoding libraries implied by the file Read.me distributed with your program explaining the BSD licensing use. So all those files could be deleted and your program would still work?

Richard George I installed Android Converter. The email receipt sent me contains a blank yellow space where the registration code is supposed to be. I requested a resend of the email, but the second one sent is also missing the registration code.

The software tells me that I am using a free trial version good only for seven days.

Please help. Thanks!!!

Constantin Florea @Jim Heiden, I've just contacted the vendor for help.

Until the vendor responds, please ensure that the installer you are using is for version 1. The free code from the receipt email won't work on version 2 of Android Converter.

Clive Richards A restart fixed the earlier problem of conversions not running. I was keen to use this program to reduce the file size of videos on my Galaxy Note III though was disappointed to find that the list of choices did not include the Note III - I tried one of the galaxy settings but the video appeared too small on the screen with a border all around it. Trying again using the Galaxy Tab settings though it does not say which size Tab this is for.
I am beginning to feel that I might be better off finding out the optimum settings for the Note III and setting these up manually in one of the several other video conversion programs that I have already

Norwel Gordon I have been waiting hours to hear an answer to Richard George's question:

" I didn't want to obtain the paid version (Android Converter 2) without knowing the difference(s) between the two versions.

If someone has the time to provide examples of features available only in the new version, it would be very helpful."

I have the same concern.
