Tim Logan on oct 22nd, BitsDujour offered this program, which I accepted. 5 days later (I was busy) I tried to install it and the code BitsDujour sent me was invalid. Found a Animated Screensaver thread and posted my issue and was told that the "fine" print says you must install the software within a given time frame, otherwise the key is invalid. Also got a message after I showed my key had Oct (which in the past meant that you had to install it in the month which you got the key), so why was the key invalid and I was told that the policy of the license is a "randomly" generated key that doesn't necessarily make it valid. WTH, are keys generated by BitDuJour valid or not? And is this customer service or just BitDuJours way of saying we don't care and we stand by a policy that doesn't make sense given that I in fact was within the time frame of the product being offered and installing before the end of the month. So I am wondering if I get this product, will in in fact validate or will BitsDujour give me the run around again and stand by the "fine" print of their policy

Constantin Florea @Tim Logan, On 22nd of October 2015 we did ran a giveaway promotion for Animated Wallpaper Maker and the registration code for that promotion did end in OCT-BDJ:

but that doesn't mean that the registration code is valid for the entire month of October.

The place where the validity of the registration code is specified is "The Fine Print" tab in the promotion page. If you look in "The Fine Print" tab for that promotion:

you will see that it says:
"You must install/register the software while the promotion is active, and cannot do so afterwards."

The validity of the coupon code is also specified in the receipt email you receive after participating in the promotion. The phrase in the receipt email is the same:
"You must install/register the software while the promotion is active, and cannot do so afterwards."

I have checked The Fine Print tab of today's promotion of Animated Screensaver Maker and it contains the same phrase:
"You must install/register the software while the promotion is active, and cannot do so afterwards."
which means the condition attached to the registration code provided for this promotion is that you must register the software while the promotion is active. If you wait until tomorrow to register the product, it will not work.

Constantin Florea @Tim Logan I had to delete your comment because it contained a registration code.

Please do not assume that the registration code is valid for the whole month of October if that registration code has the month name or part of the month name in it. Like I mentioned before, in order to see the active period in which the registration code can be used, please look in The Fine Print tab or in the receipt email you receive. There are no other places except for these two, where the active registration period is specified.

There is a countdown timer on every regular BitsDuJour deal that explicitly shows how much longer a promotion will be active for. In the case of Animated Wallpaper Maker, it was 24 hours or less, depending on when you downloaded the software.

This was never a policy at BitsDuJour.

Michael User Having downloaded, installed and had a play with this software, I must say I'm pretty impressed. There's a nice selection of animations to play with (some more subtle than others), and the layout is intuitive. Spent 5 minutes playing around with a photo I've taken and produced a really nice wallpaper which I now have installed.

I definitely recommend you giving this a go and hope that the Animated Wallpaper Maker shows up on this site too as I would love to give that a go as well.

Cyber Dude Downloaded and working, due to the sites lack of security Chrome does not authorise popups and redirects and thus download not available, once setting ajusted for the site to allow the popup and redirects the downloads will work.

Slyxie To Download the software on the pop up box right click on the link and choose file save as, then it will download SSMaker.exe to your download folder. after install it will ask you to register the software or try trial version, choose trial version then when the software starts click on the registration key Picture on the main menu, you will get a pop up box for the registration code copy and paste your registration code in the box , then restart the software. if you check the registration key again in the main menu it will say Licenced to Bits DuJour Giveaway
I have used this software before its very good and fun to create with

Slyxie in chrome when you click on the download link you may have to click on the 3 dots top right hand corner on browser and look for ssmaker.exein the downloads folder and give it permisson to download as its and exe file not a zip. the other method would be in your email with the serial code jusr right click on animated screen saver maker and choose save file as.

D User Fun program to work with. Would be great if they could let you define mask areas on an image and limit effects to those specific areas. Sadly, I don't get much use from screen savers these days -- I'm either working on my PC or nowhere near it. If this would be useful to you, go for it!
