What are people saying about Any DVD Cloner Platinum

Lupke Brother Can't find this software in any software category on BDJ, so this is a new one. Interesting because this is a Cloner, a Ripper, a decrypter and a shrinker tool. Let's test a trial.

I would like to purchase a licence.. Though the only option I have is to leave an e-mail to show that I would like to own one?

It does seem that BitsDuJour is having some technical details, meaning, I'm still awaiting feedback on some SSD software that suffered a technical hitch on the day.

Keep up the good work, and sort those issues out please.

Thanks for your support for Anvsoft and wish you happy new year! I just got back home, sorry for the delay reply. Honestly speaking, our software has quality guarantee and you can see technical details on our sites or ask our support team-supportanvsoft.com. (Despite our main site is anvsoft.com, but we own many branches around the world, such as any-video-converter.com. )I think they may be helpful. Anyway, if you are not sure about something, you may purchase first, decide to keep it or not in 30 days' trial. You could refund at time if you are not satisfied.

Rick R To add to my comment above about crashing after cloning 1 DVD perfectly - I now found that it does clone certain DVDs perfectly - menus and all - just like the original DVDs. Excellent!!

I am very happy with the program - however it's not going to be able to clone every DVD out there for one reason or another because of the protection method used on certain DVDs put out by various companies. So you can expect some crashes here and there I guess - but over all - it's a great program.

I have a huge DVD collection and I sure do appreciate that "Any DVD Cloner Platinum" will allow me to back up many and perhaps most of my collection.

Mary k I bought before isaw the note that it can only be installed on one computer using OSX. I intend to install on my laptop now but will want to use it on desktop when it is fixed. Will I be able to switch then or is the license locked on one specific computer? Anvsoft Support Dear VLM,
I am really sorry having you confused. I have asked BIts to help me clarifying that with the note. Honestly speaking, the strict limit if mainly for mac version. Once it is registered, the database records it, then another computer would not be able to register with the same license.
Anyway, it works on CDs, unlike our any blu-ray ripper software which can be used on blu-ray disks. You could see it here:http://any-dvd-cloner.com...tinum.html

VLM Yalita, Thank you! I was hoping you would return before day's end. :) Follow-up and additional questions:

1. Regarding the foregoing, is it correct to say that Any DVD Cloner works on DVDs and CDs but not on Blu-Ray disks, and that Blu-Ray Cloner works on Blu-Ray Disks and DVDs but not on CDs?

2. Can both programs produce ISO files?

3. Could you please describe briefly the differences between Any DVD Converter and Any DVD Cloner Platinum? Am I correct in believing that they overlap a great deal?

Could the MP4 format video be played on your computer or any mobile devices? If it can be normally played on PC and mobile devices but not on Powerpoint. There must be some setting you should change in Powerpoint.

I checked Powerpoint and found it can support WMV video not MP4. You can download our free video converter at http://www.any-video-conv...ideo_free/

VLM Thank you Yalita. Sounds like a decent competitor for Slysoft's product, and at a MUCH better price. Your response arrived too late for me to get "the deal". I'm still interested, however. :)

More questions, please ...

1. Can Any DVD Cloner Platinum go from DVD to ISO on a PC, or only on Mac?

2. Can Any DVD Cloner Platinum pull just the audio from a video?

3. Does Any DVD Cloner Platinum work with BluRay disks, or only "regular" DVDs? If the answer is no, do you plan this functionality, either in this or another product, anytime "soon"?

4. Regarding the license, BDJ's Policy tab says "per user" but then says "2 computers". Just to be clear ... is it limited to 2 computers? (I have 3, all my own (single user), ergo I ask. :)

5. Can you really commit to lifetime upgrades? Perhaps, if the DVD standard itself is reaching EOL, that's not such a huge commitment to keep. :):)

Gerald Attrick This seems to be a product which actually lives up to its advance billing. And for only twenty bucks, it's a steal. I recently bought a lifetime license / subscription to another DVD cloner for $45 and a DVD "suite" for another $40. This "Any DVD..." software can do both.

At the moment, I have only two questions. How often is the software updated to accommodate new copy-protection schemes? The Fab cloner I mentioned earlier seems to be updated at least once a month... free of additional charge.

Second, does the software's name imply that it can also handle Blu-Ray disks?

Anvsoft Support @Gerald Attrick How often is the software updated to accommodate new copy-protection schemes? -- We do not have a fixed upgrade period but we welcome users tell us the problems with DVDs, then we would purchase them from Amazon at our end and tests, then a newer version will be released very soon.

does the software's name imply that it can also handle Blu-Ray disks?-- Sorry but Any DVD Cloner Platinum supports movie DVDs only, does not support Blu-ray.

One small issue: The Windows version of the program continues to use an obsolete version of the open-source MPlayer program, which Secuia PSI complains about as insecure, and does not work with the manual substitution of the latest MPlayer.exe. Anvsoft, please use the latest version of MPlayer.exe for each subsequent release. Thank you.

Myrna Larson What about compatibility with Windows 10, 32 and 64 bit?

Is this company associated in any way with SlySoft, the now closed-down publisher of the original AnyDVD program? That program removed copy protection only. A separate program (CloneDVD) was used to make the actual copy.

HBOY As a former user of SlySoft, no this is not related. They are now RedFox. Their products was ANYDVD, which only removed copy protection and ripped to hard drive. Then after copy protection was removed they had CloneDVD2 which would prepare the ripped files to be burned to a dvd. This is a different product by a different company.

Myrna Larson Yes, I have the SlySoft (now RedFox) AnyDVD CloneDVD2 replacements. I've used them since 2010..

An old comment says: "Slysoft's website gives version 1.2.1.3 of AnyDVD, the first public release, as July 3, 2003."

I react very negatively to companies like AnvSoft (their web site 'About Us' says 'since' 2005) using confusing 'copy cat' names.

Do you have any info about Windows 10? It's been out for almost a year and a half, now.

HBOY I have been running Windows 10 since it came out and have had no problems. The latest version for CloneDVD2 would be 2.9.3.3. I bought the lifetime for ANYDVD when it was SlySoft and the latest version for that was 7.6.9.5. Not about to purchase the same product from RedFox for over $100.

Myrna Larson I got the RedFox versions at a really big discount when they first came out. It's my understanding that the FBI (or whatever federal agency is responsible) forced SlySoft to close -- or at least the owner got tired of fighting them off.

Gary Smith @Anvsoft, Inc.,

One of the BitsduJour claims is that "you'll always get the latest version of the software app sold under the same terms as a regular sale, just at a great promotional price." (under the Fine Print above)

The version number for this offer is not stated anywhere that I see, which would very valuable to potential buyers of any software.

The developer's website (http://anvsoftware.com) does not show a Changelog of all past versions. This is proof of how valuable a full Changelog is for potential buyers of your software.

I tried to find out what exactly is offered here and what is the latest version.

The version offered for sale on BitsduJour on 2015-03-25 was version 1.3.3 (Copyright 2009-2014)

The BitsduJour trial download for today (2016-12-03) shows that it is version 1.2.2. (Copyright 2009-2013).

The definitive answer at this point should be what the developer's website says is the latest version, but ...
On http://anvsoftware.com/an...#Tech_Spec, the version is stated as 1.1.1.
I like the idea of time-travel, but not going back in time when it comes to software versions.

The trial download from anvsoftware.com is the same as the Trial download from BitsduJour (both version 1.2.2).

Obviously, version 1.2.2 is not the latest, so why is it the Trial download?

And, what version is being offered for sale, and is it the latest?
