Mike B A suggestion for a future feature (or maybe it's already there but I didn't see it in the descriptions): convert Word's "smart" quotes, apostrophes (and similar things like em-dashes) to the plain old ASCII equivalent.

fpi fpi How to change the language of one selected text, where is the Flip: Language option ?
The both buttons: ENG >> HEB and HEB >> ENG from the default menu disappeared in version 12.77!
The menus are in English, are other language options planned?

We have the version of this promotion "BITSDUJOUR" so who sends the license or serial number, I installed the Free version as you say, but no one sends us a key?

You dont need to ask for it, should have happened automatically, we are checking if there was any issue, and it will be fixed by the BitsDuJour team. my response was to say that if you registered for the promotion and didn't get a license we still have your back and we'll send you a license through the AnyCase support.

As long as you registered before the end of the promotion you will be getting a license.

I'm not sure I understand the first question, but regarding the language, French is supported even though the interface is in English. We eventually plan to have the interface in multiple languages as well but as a first step we added support for the language, that means French and 24 other languages with their specific needs.

Unfortunately everyone that registered during the technical issue in the first few hours will have to be sent their license manually using the email they've provided on registration, so as long as you listed your email accurately, you should expect to receive the license in the coming days, as we were going through them one by one.

Great question, the short answer is is it has to do with privileges. AnyCase App Uses the least amount of privileges necessary to run on a Windows machine. in fact I don't know if you noticed but you don't need an administrator account to install AnyCase (no screen requesting elevated privileges, When clicking the installer), this is intentional. not everybody that uses AnyCase have an administrator account.

AnyCase can be installed on any user (non admin) level Windows account, and as per Windows specification programs that do not elevate privileges to administer upon installation are installed in "local".

AnyCase App Regarding the license key I have talked to BitsDuJour, People that have registered at the start of the promotion at the time that a technical issue was identified will receive their license in a few days as the process is manual, and will need to be set to the emails on file one by one.

If you registered recently and experienced any issues please update us, as we are not aware of any further Issues receiving a license key other than the one that occurred in the first few hours of the promotion.

any new registration or purchases should produce a license key immediately, As well as being a part of the email receipt.

Flip language is where you start writing in the wrong language, say for example You intended to write in English but your Windows language was set to French by mistake, making it that you're basically typing gibberish, to flip the language back to English without rewriting, you can select the text and click on FR >> ENG. The text will convert from gibberish French to English.

You can make this conversion from any language to any language that is installed on your machine

"After you purchase ...it may be used for 12 months and will not function after that unless you renew your subscription."
"Each license allows installation on 1 computer."
"Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed."

So, the ability to use AnyCase is just rented to me for 12 months, after which I need a new license. If I want to use it on my two personal PCs, I need two licenses. If I replace my PC with a new model during the 12-month license period, my license is cancelled and I need to purchase a new license for AnyCase.

Seems rather strict licensing.

Gary User I'm making the transition from win 10 to win 11 by using a dual boot setup on each of my three computers. If I buy the lifetime license will I be able to install the program on both the win 10 and win 11 on the computers or will I need a separate license for each partition?

Gary User I purchased the lifetime version last time it was offered on BitssDuJour. It has worked perfectly. I'm amazed at how often I've found to use the program outside of Microsoft Word, and now, even when working in Word I prefer AnyCase to the built-in case change process inside of Word

Tim Parsons I bought the lifetime license.

I've had the PayPal and the BitsDuJour receipts. The download from the BDJ receipt completed with no issue. And it's installed fine.

What I don't have is a license code.

Looking back on previous comments, this was an issue before -- something "technical". Isn't that fixed yet?

AnyCase App @Dave User, Regarding Windows 7 send an email to support, they'll set you up with a version that works on Windows 7, officially AnyCase App support is from Windows 8+ , even though we do have Windows 7 users that use it with no issues.

We've contacted BitsDuJour to remove Windows 7 from Versions that are officially supported.

PortablesFan I bought 2 lifetime licenses today (separate purchases).

The first email had registration info. The second purchase didn't seem to prompt an automatic email; I manually requested a receipt email for that purchase from BdJ, but when it came it had no registration info.

Is this due to the same bug that's plagued some other buyers regarding missing reg info, or does my first license just have all 6 activations associated with it?

In your case 2 licenses with 3 activations each, and they're transferable between your machines, so you can request to reset them if you upgrade to another windows etc.
