What are people saying about AnySpliter

Leslie Milburn So lets get this right..........

If say I want to send a large file to someone via email then this program will split it into a number of segments. Then the email recipient will need THIS program to then reconstruct the segments back into a contiguous file.

The big question therefore is can the recipient use an unregistered copy of the program to join more than 2 segments or do they need a registered copy.

Personally I think that perhaps a better way to go would be to provide the sender with the facility to to send a small executable (lets says about 200K in size) which the recipient could run to join the segments together. That way they would not need to also have the AnySplitter program at all.

Just a thought.....

Taylor Zhang Hi, Leslie

Thanks for the comments, but don't worry about how the recipient to conjoin the splitted segments together, because there is no limitation on the file conjoin function, that means the recipient can use the unregistered AnySpliter to conjoin the segments. So, only sender needs to register AnySpliter.

Arlene Manduca @Taylor. That's great to know. One problem in sending split files to people with very little ability to manage files or even understand where they are on their device, is just that.

A knowledgeable user can follow directions. They understand where their default download directory is, how to find the pieces and join them. They must know how to navigate directories though. Your product seems to find all parts after the first one automatically, which is a huge help!

Trying to send a file in pieces to LOW TECH people seems to often prevent the process. Have you got a solution for that?

I know a lot of film makers that use a process like Leslie mentioned to send HUGE video raw footage to other directors to discuss editing it. Most people don't send such large files, but that process means you can send the executable STUB to an IDIOT via email, and they just execute it! DONE. That person gets the file in a streaming fashion which then resides on their device.

For personal sending of files like an average Youtube size video, it's not worth paying for for a third party streaming service like the film makers use. Any comments? Thanks.

Taylor Zhang Hi, Arlene, thank you so much for your kindly comments! First of all, as sender if a people use AnySpliter to help him/her to pass a huge file to a recipient, I think he/she need to tell the recipient how to use AnySpliter to conjoin the splitted segments together when sending email, and the recipient will understand how to do when reading the instruction.

Secondly, AnySpliter is just a easy to use file-splite and file-conjoin tool, it not only can be used when people sending large file to others via email, but also can be used in many scenarios like below.

one example:
Most forums don't allow people to upload large file in a post, and AnySpliter can help them in this situation.

another example:
In case somebody who has to leave office and has to finish the rest work of a large file at home, but he has no large flash memory on hand, and the office emailbox doesn't not allow to send out large file. AnySpliter then can help him in this situation.

DiggerP @ Taylor Zhang,
" .....people always want to try something new, right?"
Probably, if it's better and has more features
However , AnySpliter has a limit of only 2 GB , so it can't handle the full contents of eg a full DVD or an ISO of Win7.
HJSplit can handle 100 GB or more and so can many of the other splitters which are stand-alone or part of the many free decompression programs (unzippers if you want).

I know your program is free for today ,but it has to be registered and it's normally $10 ,which is not the case of the numerous free splitters.

As to uploading large files ,again, there are other options ,such as many free file hosting services and also free file streaming services ,where the recipient receives the file as you're uploading it.
Personally I hardly use a file splitter anymore because it's superseded by other methods.
One of the remaining usage for split files is in the creation of torrents ,but even then ,many of the torrent creators have an integral file splitter.

Just wondering if this promo is to solicit potential customers for your other program TTSIU?

Just curious.

Taylor Zhang Hi, Peter

Exactly, the main purpose of designing AnySpliter is to provide a easy to use and productive tool for customers of my another product - TTSUU(Text-to-Speech Universal Utility) which can read aloud any text and can export WAV and MP3 file with LRC and SMI lyrics.

Because, users of the TTSUU software sometime have to face the problem of transfer and store large TXT, WAV, MP3 files, that's why I designed AnySpliter for them, and it's free for users of the TTSUU software.

Anyway, I'd like to say THANK YOU as you let me know some valuable questions such as Anyspliter can only work for file that not larger than 2G, and it doesn't contain compression / decompression function etc. Well, it's not a technical problem to add such functions to AnySpliter for me, and I will add them to AnySpliter in future version. Thanks!

Trucker In the days of FDD (Floppy Disk Drive) we loved software like this, but today it would mostly be used for fun.
Then and now have the same problem:
If you send a split file to a friend then do this friend need to have the same program.
So you have to inform all of your friends today to get the program for free...

Thanks for the program, but I canĀ“t use it today as I have all the space I need and much more than that...

Constantin Florea The registration issue we had is now fixed: there is now a new executable file which needs to be downloaded from the same URL (the download URL can be found in your receipt email).

So all you need to do is download the new file, install it and use your assigned credentials to register the application.

If there are any issues, please let us know either here or by email.

If there are any issues, please let us know.

Tom Halpers If a file is too large to attach to an email, splitting is not the answer. Simply upload it to a temporary file storage service, and email the link to your recipients. I transfer video files frequently using this process.

File splitting requires you to send out mutiple emails, and it still buries your recipients email inbox ... not something you should be doing!

I like to run fiddler on new software to see what gets exchanged, but not sure I am ready to take the plunge here.. AnySpliter is a PC software so it's cannot be used on other OS like Linux. Mac etc. And, as it's a Green software, no installation on PC needed.

And also, the TTSUU software is a PC software, and can only be used on Windows system like XP, Win7, Vista. Of course, the WAV/MP3 and LRC lyrics that exported from TTSUU software are portable and can be used at iPod, PocketPCs and CD playes etc. Please let me know if you have further questions, thanks.
