Gr3gw Two days running. I'm starting to sound like a professional advocate, but I'm not.

Just like tio say that I use AnyTrans for PC and find it fantastic. I learned about AnyTrans from an ad here on BitsDuJour last year. For anyone that thinks iTunes is the beginning and end for maintaining music files on iPods, this is the treat for you. Add and remove music files without going through iTunes. It does much, much more but for people that felt imprisoned by iTunes it's a tremendous start.

Techtoysavvy Please explain this.
It seems contradictory to me.

Each license allows installation on all owned computers, but AnyTrans may not be used at exactly the same time on each of them.

Transfer of a license to another owned computer is not allowed.

Gr3gw My guess is that you can use it on any computer you own but only on one computer at time. That is, if you have five computers, you can install it on each of them but YOU can only be using one computer at any one time. Put another way, no other member of your family can be using it while you use it.

VLM Maureen Chen - Thank you, Maureen. With all due respect, you may wish to take a look at the page you recommended. The ONLY mention of PDF documents is in a customer comment; and on the Guide page, "PDF" does not appear at all.

Nonetheless, I am happy to hear that the software supports all these formats. It would just be nice to see a list, or a partial list, or the like.

ron r Do you need to have itunes installed or does it work without itunes installed.

Although it says in the fine print: "...Manage content directly on your Apple gear without iTunes..."

I have seen that in other promotions of other similair tools as well BUT those tools still required the installation of Itunes. (It just wouldn't start itunes when using the alternative tool).

Tortuga Please can someone from the company clarify the Policy
As per the Fine Print:
1) On one hand, it can be installed on all owned PCs, though "Not used at same time", which is reasonable
2) On the other hand "Transfer of a license to another owned computer is NOT allowed" !?
3) And "Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product"

It contradicts itself - It's a Lifetime License, but ONLY as long as your MoBo, HDD or CPU doesn't fry?!!!!
It's a rather short Lifetime ... Could be a week, could be a year, flip of a coin

Already it needs "Email license activation" *AND* a "Hardware footprint" which really, is demanding enough!, but at the rate PCs break down these days, not being able to transfer the app to the new PC is just absurd

I WAS very interested, only bc apparently is does NOT need the dreaded resource hog of iTunes installed (as per the previous user, I did not investigate this point)
But the Policy is definitely NOT acceptable. I'll pass

iMobie Inc. @Bob Hirschfeld Does it maintain playlists when transferring? Yes Bob, our AnyTrans can do so. -In the Audio column, you can find Playlist option and it will keep your playlists during the transfer.

@ron r Do you need to have itunes installed or does it work without itunes installed. - To use AnyTrans, there is no need to install the full copy of iTunes but the iTunes device driver is required since the program is based on it to access Apple device content.

But we has already put it on our upgrade schedule and probable this feature will be available soon.

@Tortuga, yes, we hold our license policy and our customers do have the life-time license priority. If your MoBo, HDD or CPU gets crashed or something like that, please feel free to email us and we will reset your license so that you can continue using for REAL life-time.

Gordon Hamilton I didn't have iTunes installed and I installed AnyTrans.

I was prompted to install iTunes or use the driver installer and I chose driver installer.

Everything seemed to go ok. I tried to copy the contents of a music folder and it crashed. AnyTrans has stopped working. I tried a gain with a different folder with the same result.

Installed the full iTunes and it worked ok.

Is this a known issue which is likely to be fixed soon?

Gr3gw I've been using this for over a year. IT WORKS. The labels on the commands can be a little deceptive but when it comes to putting music on the iPod player, it works. Highly recommended.

Ken Taylor Downloaded the trial. Tried to connect with my iPadAir, iOS: 7.1.2. Keeps crashing. Also, I keep getting a nag window telling me to update to 8.0.2. "I don't want to update now because there are always problems with NEW UPGRADES, and I want to wait until Yosemite has been launched. Even then, I'll wait a month or two for the bugs to get worked out. PS: I also don't want to upgrade to iOS8 because I ALWAYS read Take Control books. The iOS book won't come out until around 10 October. I think the timing of the sale of this app is not good. Hope the developer offers this in the future. In the meantime, I have to delete this useless app. So sorry:(

Brad Hello.

It appears there is no provision or support for Audible content with AnyTrans, I have been to your technical specifications link for AnyTrans (link provided below) The Audible .aa format is not shown at all. This is an absolute requirement for me and is a definite non-starter for my acquisition of your application. Is this actually the case that there is no support for Audible format?

Also I have noted on many of the: "Ask for Help or Contribute to This Guide" pages, it appears there is a significant delay in responding to customer requests for assistance, many, many questions are going anywhere from 5 days to upwards of 2 weeks in waiting for a support response to a troubleshooting issue. Is this a typical delay time? Other than these "Ask for Help...." pages, is there another more formal technical support avenue whereby support questions are more individually handled, or is this the only way to seek out assistance from your company?

I just want to be sure that if I purchase the software and I have issues which may need to be addressed that this is done in a timely manner.

Other than this the software appears nicely configured, although I have not attempted to engage all the features of the application.

Wolfman Can't get the app to transfer apps from ios 8.4 using this latest version - says wait for an update. We're already up to ios 9.2! Also won't transfer notes to ios 9 - they get deleted on the destination device.

Edward Smith I will try getting your attention here since you have ignored my last 4 emails.

It has now been 8 days since I purchased Anytrans. Eight days since I first requested product support. Seven days since I sent you the log files, yet you have offered no support other than to ask for log files that I supplied within 5 minutes of your request. The program does not work.

I have asked for a refund which you say you will give for 30 days, but you have ignored my request for a refund.

Please let me know what I must do to procure a refund.
