Michael R. Is it possible to assign a drive-letter to an archive, so it's content can be handled by quite all programs and let Archiver do the internal work, like allocating or freeing space, e.g. if the user deletes files (permanently)?

Ivan Michael, you mean something like mount ISO file? Assign archive file to let say W: and accessing it with any Windows program?
Archiver can mount ISO files, but not archives as well.

Chris How does this differ from WinRAR? Is it the same, better, or not as good? And will the problem be fixed so we can get the deal soon?

Michael R. Ivan, yes, there are program, which can mound ISO-files and handle them, like e.g. WinISO, having been offered yesterday.

A long time ago I had a program called PTS-Zip (or similar). But unfortunately it run only under Win95 and not higher.

Is it harder to implement mounting ZIP-files, than mounting ISO-files?

This would be very useful and outstanding...

Ivan Chris, Archiver has many advantages over WinRar:

- Supports significant more archive formats
- Preview files (images/texts)
- FTP support
- Better interface with TABs
- Additional such as file split, backup etc.

Ivan Michael, we had such an idea in plan as well but supporting various platforms, signing drivers etc. are the things that make developing process very difficult.
I'm sure that in coming releases this feature is going to be supported as well.

Ivan Petr, recently we supported both new RAR format and ZipX.

Please before you purchase software download trial and try to open new RAR archives you have. We still didn't test enough archives and receive descent feedback from our customers regarding this issue.

Ivan Stephane, new System Navigator contains all features that Archiver has - you won't have any advantages if you get Archiver; instead please goto our website and download the latest upgrades (if you haven't already) or run Updater from SysNav application.
New interface, more languages, new features (Backup, Wizard etc.) are available.

J S IVAN: as a WinRAR License owner I would certainly like to see a program that is (in Your opinion) better than WinRAR v5.x

So as long as 1 License includes indefinite minor updates & Major Upgrades, I would like to buy a License or a few ...
