What are people saying about Ashampoo Special Offer

Pedro Laurent Nice selection of softwares you have but one thing I don't like is the spamming I get from Ashampoo almost everyday from one of my email account I used. I try to unsubcribe from some link provided but it was in vain, can you please provide a real working link to have my email remove from your news letter system, it's annoying I keep getting emails from: Rainer Lesani (Ashampoo), Ashampoo President, Anne Peters (Ashampoo), Ashampoo Service.

Stephane M $20 is good but if you look at the different tools like WinOptimizer, Uninstaller, CoreTuner, HDD Control & Magical Defrag, they have a bunch of features in common.

In my opinion, they should regroup everything in one tool instead of trying to sell multiple products with the same features.

Jeff potts Its only good if you can stand the spam baby! Not to mention the DRM used to inhibit your reliable enjoyment of the software

Stephane M Yes I am aware of this for having buying one of their software and now getting emails about their products every day!
I think their products are not bad but yes they should stop the spam and stop trying to make lots of different tools having just almost the same features.

Kelly Hamblin I am currently using SoftMaker Office 2016. I didn't upgrade to SoftMaker 2018 because the improvements I hoped to see didn't make it to the new version. Since seeing the AShampoo offer here, I've tried - unsucessfully - to find out the difference(s) between AShampoo's suite and SoftMaker's suite. Also, it has proven impossible (for me) to find any details about your products. Can you point me to a website that will give me some information?

Tim Parsons @Kelly Hamblin as far as I can tell, Ashampoo and Softmaker Office are the same product except that Ashampoo don't include BasicMaker. So Ashampoo Office 2018 is a cheap upgrade at this price if you don't care about BasicMaker. (Full disclosure: as a result of a certain amount of confusion on my part, I own licenses for both!)

Kelly Hamblin @Tim Parsons - Thanks for responding with an answer that pretty much answers my questions. I emailed the company and got an answer that directed me to their German site. Unfortunately, I do not speak German.

Kelly Hamblin I would like to purchase the AShampoo 2018 Office Suite - assuming I am still able to set it to the classic view. However, I have Softmaker Office 2016 installed and I need to know how to deal with installing the AShampoo version of the suite. Can I install in another folder without uninstalling Softmaker, or should I uninstall Softmaker first, and will AShampoo be able to open all my Softmaker files?
Jun 20 2019 at 11:39am Copy Link

Lawrence User You can install Ashampoo Office 2018 without uninstalling Softmaker Office 2016, and keep both programs. You will have to decide which program is the default for opening compatible files, however. If you install Ashampoo Office as the latest of the Softmaker-type office suites, it will reconfigure your Softmaker Office settings and set itself as the default.

Tim Parsons @Kelly Hamblin -- the classic view is available as an option (although it's not the default.)

I don't think I've found a reason to keep older versions around, whether SoftMaker or Ashampoo, but as long as you set the file associations appropriately to your needs (as Lawrence User says) it won't hurt anything except disk space if you do :)

Incidentally, the PDF Pro offering also seems to be the equivalent SoftMaker product rebadged and is also very useful.

Jane Blue I was interested in your Movie Studio Pro, but you don't have one movie created with in on your site. Really? You might demonstrate some of the effects and transitions. I'm left to assume they not worth showing off, and so I move on. Maybe next time you won't be so lazy and you'll have a demo video. Have a nice day (I do mean that).

Dierk There are some nice bargains on very good software in this Ashampoo offer. Will agree with the comments about "overlap" between some of the titles. It can be particularly challenging to distinguish between the various Media and Photo apps: sometimes Due Diligence will reveal the distinctions, but at other times it is an exercise in frustration.

STILL: we own (as in Actually Paid For) several Ashampoo programs, & have also picked up a handful as freebies (generally 1 Generation Old releases). And DO like the fact that "headquarters" for Ashampoo is in Germany as opposed to China what with all of the links between Chinese developers and their government.

Paid For and in Active Use: Ashampoo Backup Pro 14; PDF Pro 2; Audials One 2020 (originally picked up Audials One 2019 really cheap).

Paid For, as part of a substantial discount Package: Burning Studio 19; Music Studio 6, Photo Commander 15; Snap 9, WinOptimizer 14; Uninstaller 6.

Of this later group, Burning Studio and Music Studio are useful at times, but alternatives are readily available. Snap 9 interfered with another screen cap app, and was replaced with a great open license option. Never used Uninstaller.

Photo Commander is OK, but Corel PSP and On1 RAW are personally preferred apps (albeit at a distinctly different price point!). And, frankly, could not tell you what the differences are (if any...) between WinOpt and any of another half-dozen or so Window Utility packages: the "name brands" seem safe enough, but most of their feature sets nearly identical & mainly a matter of convenience.

Oh: Also have a license for Fences, and it boots with my Win10 desktop system. However that was purchased directly from StarDock as part of one of their utility groups.

lisba f Many years to every one!
I installed today Backup Pro 15, but an error message came right in the beginning, before even it started backing up!
It says:

The backup was stopped because of the following error: At least one of the source disks has a type that is currently not supported for this kind of backup.

How I am supposed to know what "type" and what "kind" is supported? Shouldn't it specify the error and instruct me what to do?

Jeremy User Yesss time to expand my shampoo collection, I wonder if there is a super secret program that is unlocked when you get them all. Something like the "Ashampoo, Ashampoo management and enhancement suite" like a integrated command center for all of the Ashampoo related tools so you can launch them or move work between them at will. They have the most Important part of becoming a platform of the future, a name and style, than no more Java or instability in windows and better integration for online.

Donald User Ashampoo software is great and when on sale, very reasonably priced. I have many of their software packages.

I'd recommend avoiding the Driver Updater program. Sometimes you can mess things up when updating a driver when the current one works fine. You could keep it handy for when you think you need to update one, as it can find it for you, but Windows Update usually works, and the PC or hardware manufacturer websites also often have the newest drivers available for download. I'm sure it works as intended, but many have found updating drivers without good reason to do so can mess up your PC sometimes.

Loyal Customer This is a name for a hair product. Is it good for dandruff too? Just kidding.
Folks, you need to change your product name to a professional-sounding name.
Ashampoo is not a professional software name.
No, I won't use a program called Ashampoo.
Just my humble advice.

Gary Smith I get a tracking website in between:

This site can’t be reached
The webpage at https : // www[.]kqzyfj[.]com / click-3018993-13855322?& sid=100001 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

There is something I wanted to get, but cannot.

If someone is clicking the Get This Deal, they're going to provide all their information during the purchase so there is no need to track traffic on the road to the destination.

Donald User Note that there are a few freebie programs at the bottom of the Ashampoo page that the GET THIS DEAL button takes you to. There are four programs there, but they have other free ones on their site, too. Their free versions of programs are decent programs. Some are just small utilities (like the taskbar customizer) that shouldn't cost much anyway, but some are full-fledged programs that are just a version or two back from the current version that is selling now.

One thing that many people complain about here are the "spam" emails. I get one per day. I don't find that annoying, though really I'm not going to buy a program every day. I'd prefer a weekly email, but I filter advertising email into its own folder, so it doesn't clog my inbox.

Just make sure you use only one email address when registering their products, so that you don't get multiple emails on a daily basis.

Other than that, I don't believe that they sell your email address to other parties.
