pereh pereh Hello,

do I get 51% off only for the commercial version, or for the personal version (sells at $ 34.99) also?

Peter pereh Well, at last! I got no answer from Atrise last time, but here is the 'normal' version.
This software can be used to design GUIs, arrange DTP layouts and photographs etc. Everyone interested should check out the demo. As far as I know, this program is really unique.

Atrise The program window is placed over any window on your computer. So I do not see any problems. If you have doubts, why not download the trial version and check yourself?

Ron K Does the license permit installation on both my primary computer and my laptop, i.e. one user, multiple locations?

Glen H Trial version has several limitations: "Trial period is limited to 30 days; A blinking message about the need for registration appears; Other messages appear." ----------------------------------- The annoying, flashing "please register" banner across the middle of the screen impairs the trial and lost me. Why have it ??. I lasted few minutes and then uninstalled. Of limited use.

Jon Koerner I wish there was some response here from developer. Looks like previous two BDJ sales on this, there also was little developer response....

Jon Koerner I agree with Glen H -- the trial doesn't work, because the truly obnoxious, huge, bright red, flashing and Always-On-Top "Please Register" thing makes it unusable. It pops up about 1-2 minutes after launching the program, and there is no way to remove it.

Here are my impressions after trying to use the demo: The user interface of the "control panel" is laid out backwards. I.E., the default, front, first tab (of five tabs), is labeled "Main", but it is not "Main", it is a "Help-About-Contact Info" tab, and it should be the last one. The tab which should be first and should be labeled "Tools" or "Layout", but instead it is on the back row of tabs and labeled "Look". The setting which should be first, at the top of the tab, is "Grid Lines", but instead it is at the bottom. And, the layout of the user interface is cluttered and unbalanced.

It seems that the designer did not use the Golden Ratio to layout the user interface, which is what the software is for.

If you need help, you can click on "Manual" or the "?" in the title bar, there is no integrated help -- it takes you to a web page, which is the "user manual." On that page are sentences such as:

"This will make the dialog dimensions more.In this form as we as mode furns ignition. So what do we have here?"

Huh? "In this form as we as mode furns ignition..." ???

and

"You can still fiddle some more... However, logic and rationality stop us here."

Thank goodness for logic and rationality! They stopped me from fiddling with it any more. It's unfortunate -- the idea behind this program is good, in principle, but the user interface and the documentation and the demo need a lot more work.

Atrise Glen H, Jon Koerner, thanks for your comments. I understand your opinion, but, unfortunately AGS is not a free software, so I should use limitations. About user interface development, you do not right. I used AGS to develop the program itself and continue to use the program for web design and software development. My usage give me things, that settings dialog should be better. But, after some ideas and compromises I have the dialog, as it is available now. If you have better ideas, just contact me. I provide free registration for users who help me to improve my software. Jon Koerner, sorry, I don't understand your negative criticism and complaints here about minor software elements. If you don't like the software, just don't use them.
