What are people saying about Audials Tunebite Premium

Ela S. Can it convert AAX in MP3 format?

Rich OBrien $17.43 is a great deal on Audials Tunebite Premium 12. I paid $24.95 for the upgrade to version 12 just last month. I expected BitsDuJour would offer it for less but I couldn't wait. Years ago I downloaded and tried every music recording program I could find. Tunebite was the only one that recorded Pandora perfectly. Over the years Tunebite has been improved. This new version wil perfectly record from many different Internet music sources.
Tunebite automatically records each performance with the artist's name and song title. Try it and then buy it.

Ela S. So yes - it does convert audiobooks (AAX-format):

This is the only program I found in years able to do so.

Thanks to the BDJ team for this offer.

Fretting The Audials One has this and everything. I just bought it from an online retailer with the name of a rain forest for $14.99. And I'm not kidding. Key sent via email and activated.

VLM Fretting - Thank you, entertainment appreciated! Those rainforest people can sometimes be quite helpful -- when one remembers to trek their way. Appreciate your informative comment, too! :)

Thanks for the info. Did you buy it and was it really able to convert Audials-Ebooks to an unencrypted format, e.g. mp3? If yes, a short confirmation would be great :-)

Ela S. @Michael R.

It has so many good features I just bought it to this price.

The fineprint says about convertible input formats:

4XA, 722AA, AAC, AAX, AC3, ACT, AEA, AIF, AIFF, AMR, APC, APE, AU, AUDBIKDTSEAC3FLACGSMIRCAM, ISSM4A, M4B, M4P, MP2, MP3, MPCOGG, OMAPVFQCPRAMSOLVQFW64, WAV, WMA, WVXA

But it asks for iTunes to be installed for AAX conversion. That is the proposed way by Audible as well (but hopefully without CDs).

Don't have the time now to test how it works in detail. Maybe you could give it a try and tell us here.

Thanks for the info: I have read somewhen before Nero9 would be able to convert Audible without iTunes; v10 doesn't any more...

Thanks for the info and enjoy your purchase...

Roderick Nicolson I bought Audials Mediaraptor and within a few months of buying it I received an email telling me I had to buy the new version, Audials Generation 12, if I wanted to continue as they were discontinuing the use of the former.
I was disgusted then, and still am now. At least let us get a year's use out of it before forcing us to pay for an updated version.

Shame on you!

Sepp User Dude, who told you that you cannot use Mediaraptor anymore, they have changed and upgraded the app, but you don´t have to buy it. You can still use your Mediaraptor and upgrade only if and when you want to :).
I still have an old version of Audials and it works just fine. When I´ll have the money to invest, I´ll upgrade...
It does not say anywhere that you have to upgrade, otherwise it won´t work anymore, or?

Roderick Nicolson If what you say is true then that's good news, Sepp. I just read what they said in the email to me, shown below, and took it they meant they were no longer supporting Audials Mediaraptor and that 'discontinued' meant they were closing down the links to it because they then said 'Upgrading to Gen 12 is the only way to be certain that you'll still be able to record tomorrow'.

Seems then that they might have just been a bit heavy handed with their selling approach which led me to believe that the media connections to my version were being closed down, making it unusable.
Thanks for the info on this. I'll give it a try again.

"We recently released the new Audials Generation 12 and Audials Mediaraptor has been discontinued. No further support or software updates will be available for Audials Mediaraptor. We'd like to make switching to the new software easier for you with a special discount on the new and improved Audials One 12. Upgrading to Gen 12 today is the only way to be certain that you'll still be able to record tomorrow."

Sepp User @Roderick: have you tried your Mediaraptor? Does it still work? Now I am curious as on their website also states that you don´t have to buy new versions, you can continue using the one you have.
I am also using mine for converting and saving iTunes stuff (audiobooks, music etc) and the version I have works perfectly fine, I don´t want to upgrade now.

Roderick Nicolson Yes, Sepp. Like you say it does still work which is great. So I guess they just went a bit overboard with their advertising. It's not that they actually said it but it sounds like they said it, especially with, 'Upgrading to Gen 12 is the only way to be certain that you'll be able to record tomorrow'. I'm guessing now that they meant something else by this but what they actually meant I'm not sure. Perhaps however it was intended and to motivate a potential customer into buying under a misconception. Advertising isn't exactly an honest or passive instrument and manipulation of a customer's mind seems often to be the goal of it's purpose. So, who knows why they wrote what they wrote. For me, I'm just once again surprised but glad, with your help, that it wasn't what I thought it was.

Rich OBrien Audials Tunebite is the only program I could find that does a perfect job of recording Pandora. Over the years Audials has aggressively worked at making their perfect software even better. Tunebite Premium records music. Audials Platinum records music and video. Audials One has 14 recording skills - more than Premium, Platinum, Audials Radiotracker, or Audials Moviebox.
