"Auslogics BoostSpeed includes modules and wizards for just about any kind of tweak or optimization you can imagine..."  -- PC World, 2010

As most of us know all too well, PC performance degrades over time. Although for most of us it seems like some kind of mysterious and sinister dark magic at work, in fact, there are some very concrete reasons for this frustrating and expensive phenomenon:

  • The Windows Registry (your PC's database of critical hardware and software instructions) accumulates obsolete shared DLLs, unused drivers, and unused file extension associations resulting from repeated installs and uninstalls.
  • Your hard drive (NTFS and FAT) file systems become fragmented, forcing the read/write heads to make extraneous movements across the disk and reducing file read speeds.
  • Unexpected restarts, software failures, web browsing, and daily computer usage leads to an accumulation of temporary files, browsers cache, log files, memory dumps, and other unnecessary bits of data. Over time these files can waste gigabytes of disk space, bloating critical Windows indexes.
  • Certain applications and unnecessary Windows services launch automatically upon startup, consuming PC system resources.
  • Inappropriate network settings greatly reduce internet access speeds, which can slow browsing to a crawl, even on super-fast network lines.

While Windows has the capability of addressing many of these issues, the necessary settings are often buried so deep that only super-users can readily access and make sense of them.

Auslogics BoostSpeed is a computer optimization and maintenance suite that was specifically designed to reverse the effects of these types of degradation. It includes 20 powerful tools that will allow even novice users to effectively diagnose and automatically resolve your computer's slowdown woes!

Francis Pillow Does the defrag handle the pagefile or other boot time optimizations?

Stephane M Hello,

What is the cost or the discount for upgrading once the 1-year subscription is over?

As the original license is for 3 PC's, do we need to buy 1 or 3 upgrades when we renew?

Nico Westerdale Due to it being Thanksgiving I don't think we're going to be able to get the vendor to respond to these questions. Sorry guys!

Stephane M @Nico

Yep apparently!
Do you think the deal will be extended for another day?

Rick Gardiner @Francis

BoostSpeed does not support boot time optimization (if you have Vista or Windows 7 it usually happens autoamtically). We're planning to add boot time defragmentation in order to be able to defragment locked files such as pagefile, etc. We do not have an ETA yet.

You will not *have* to buy upgrades after one year if you're happy to use the version that you purchased. Upgrades are not mandatory and you can cancel them at any time. Unfortunately we do not have a portable version of the software.

Stephane M Hi Rick!

Thanks for your answers.

Yes that is right I do not have to upgrade but if I want to stay up to date what would be the cost to upgrade in 1 year from now if I buy it today?

And what do you mean by canceling upgrades at any time?
Is the subscription auto-renewed?

Aaron K I received a notice that I have 48 hours to complete the transaction, since every time I used my debit card it wouldn't process. I couldn't get into online banking through the same luck, and today of course I couldn't get ahold of anyone to find out why.

Since my card is not working today and I won't be able to talk to my bank until tomorrow, will the discount still apply?

Nico Westerdale I'm sure that Rick will be able to help you out tomorrow Aaron!

Harry User Wow, I certainly didn't expect to find a page on this old version. I used this version a long time ago. Yes, it was a good app but the latest version BootSpeed 10 is simply much better. Awesome app truly))
