Mark K Malwarebytes identifies a PUP (PUP.optional.yontoo) threat and quarantines the installation file. When I try to install the program from Auslogics website, I get a popup about a false positive for the PUP, and then gives me instructions to permanently disable Malwarebytes to check for PUP's. According to Google, Yontoo is Adware. Why would I want to permanently allow adware programs?

paul zozem I used to pay for this utility package. If you get the current version it's actually pretty good.BUT when I switched to Glary Utilities, it's nearly impossible to completely remove. I was going to try the version 8, but decided no to chance it.

Keith Powley My computer would not install it. I get , this app can't run on your PC
to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.

joji sawhney Dear Mr Administrator you advertise this software version as Auslogics BoostSpeed 9 but when installed it on my system I am great surprised to see that it is very outdated version 8 instead of the latest version! This is very bad on behalf of your very prestigious site because this will definitely affect the goodwill of your site!

Zach User Ahhh, here I am back again - I can confirm the installer is for v8 and NOT v9 as advertised or promoted at least. Even says on the order invoice it is v8 and not v9.....

And yes, it looks like Malwarebytes has blocked and quarantined the file for PUP as one of the commenter has mentioned above.

Neostar Don't know about version 8 but when I tried to register version 9 the code wouldn't work, so I just uninstall it, had to use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of the remnants it leaves behind :(

BeehindBlueyes I am having the same problem with Malwarebytes but I have had this program before and I want it.
On the Malwarebytes screen go to settings and exclusions. Then check off program from website and browse for the program. It should be in your
programs x86 folder under Windows C.

Allan Fibecker Please don't install anything from Auslogics nowadays. It has been wll known for a while, that both their installer and uninstaller will be quarentine3d by MBAM Premium - and that's not "false positives". Auslogics had a giveaway recently - their defragger, and it was filthy as well, and a scan with MBAM gave 76 PUPs......very hard to get rid of. Try a run with ADW Cleaner the day after, MBAM removed everything. Geez 2 of them are reproducing, and this is a big time dealbreaker. Shame on Auslogics for this stunt!

Dont blame MBAM - it is Auslogics bringing all the PUP scam. Shame.
And (sorry) shame to BDJ for advertizing V9 - and then V8 is delivered.
Even it's free, I will not use this "tool". Very bad indeed,

And a special thanks to those who went out of their way to provide information that is essential to anyone contemplating purchasing this. From what I've read (and researched myself) it's not worth the price they're offering it for here. I'll keep my slow computer safe, thank you.

Adam Bridge Could we please have a comment from BDJ on here as to what the story is ? Seems many hours of negative feedback but nothing from the site owners ? I reckon there has been a stuff up and it was never intended to offer Version 9 as that is one of their current flagship products....
