Bruce Mittleman I tried the Auslogics DiskDefrag yesterday and was very impressed with the speed I usually use Diskeeper which takes 40 minutes to complete, Auslogics DiskDefrag did the job in half the time, goodbye Diskeeper.

If you still encounter issues while trying to register, please send us at notify@bitsdujour.com a screenshot in which we can see the registration code you are using as well as the error message you get when trying to register.

Rich OBrien Auslogics DiskDefrag Pro is by far the fastest and best defrag program. Nothing else comes close. Although it does seem like the Auslogics defrag program does a perfect job but quits early before cleaning up the bottom five rows. I wish it would keep going to close all gaps before stopping If you don't like the bright, circus color scheme, join me in asking for the ability to customize the colors.

Rich OBrien To register the new version, open Auslogics DiskDefrag Pro. On the Help Menu, select About and look for blue text that says "Click to enter a new license key."

Rich OBrien Hans Johansson. Know of any car dealers that will let you drive one of their cars for a year before you decide to buy? A 12 month free trial of useful and valuable software is a good deal.
I've downloaded and installed trial versions of software that was to copy online videos only to find the trial period was 90 seconds.
And I recently downloaded and installed software to clone my Windows boot drive only to discover the cloning feature was disabled until I paid $40.
Auslogics DiskDefrag Pro has no real competition. Defraggler is good if you don't mind waiting hours for it to do what Auslogics DiskDefrag Pro does in a fraction of the time.

Hans Johansson Rich OBrien. You seem like a nice and kind person. And I agree with you. So do not misunderstand my comment back.
It's the designations "100% Off" and "Get it for free" I'm against, to have a person like me on the hook. It would have been more correct to name the offer "Extended demo", so that it is clear from the beginning what it really is.

TranceWarp This is true. The download link is for an old FREE version of the program. However, you can still go to the Auslogics website and download the pro version. The key will work just fine.

Stuart Clarke @ Alisa Gordon. Malwarebytes flatly refuses to let Auslogics software operate on my computer. The issue actually goes back at least a couple of years, with both ESET and Malwarebytes consistently flagging up problems in the actual payload that Auslogics nowadays delivers to a user's computer.

Once upon a time, this Australian developer could be relied upon for clean-sheet installs with no likelihood of PUPS, nagware, and objectionable toolbars. Its reputation was well earned and users like myself were more than happy with both its paid and free-version products. Sadly, that's no longer the case: I actually tried to install this particular giveaway when offered by another site only a short time ago, and once again Malwarebytes intercepted.

It's emphatically not a case, as some drama queens would have it, that Auslogics is bundling in trojans, rather that the payload these days contains stuff that isn't necessary, that isn't expected, and very definitely, isn't wanted. Auslogics has been told enough times about its behaviour. It really should wake up and realise that when users lose faith in a developer, getting that faith back is an almost impossible task.

Alisa Gordon I turned off Malwarebytes and installed it then. Even so I have another proggy running called "unchecky" that flagged something as I was installing. I did get the pro version from the link someone gave above after reading comments and pro versions "usually" don't install adware etc. So yeah (even though it is a giveaway) it's disappointing and offputting.

SoftCollector Malwarebytes has always been unreliable. I have Kaspersky installed and it does not find any problems with Auslogics Defrag.
