Gunderic Hagen I have excel templates which I want to automate, that is, cells from one column multiplied (or divided) by another cells in anothet column of the same template. Also, is it possible to automate calculations based on excel formulae, for example AVERAGE and others?

Additionally, I want to use a value which is the result of entering calculations on another website. To be more clear, say in my Excel template, I need to calculate the hypergeometric probability and multiply the result by the value in a specific cell on the template. In other words, I enter certain values on another website, which i then run and get the results. Would it be possible to use cells on my excel template to refer to the results of the hypergeometric probability obtained in the other website, and add, substract, divide or multiply said value by the value in a particular cell of my Excel template?

Thank you kindly for your prompt reply!

Thomas Schulz It works on Windows 11

However, regarding your Excel requirements, it would require I either programmed an internal Excel plugin or someone programmed an external plugin. (There's actually a SDK. Long ago, when the app was created, I had envisioned a fully pluggable tool that others could program against and extend)

It is better to think of Automation Batch Tools as something that can apply various functions (through modules/plugins) to vast number of files... Where you can sequence whatever numbers of file filters / pattern matches... and each of those with their own sequence of whatever number of configured modules to do work... And then the whole thing get executed the orders selected.

Gunderic Hagen Thanks for your prompt answer.

I am afraid I do not understand half of what you wrote.

I think your app is quite attractive provided it autoomates calculations in excel, as I cannot imagine what other cell automations are there.... The way I see it your app is able to automate calculations in different cells of an excel template. What I would like to understand is, to what extent does it do it?

I am sending you a fictitious example to the email address you post on your webste, to learn of the capabilities of your app. Even if the automation is only partial in its functions, it is also interesting.

I could finally download a trial version of your app, but it was rather difficult to do it.

Incidentally, one extremely good benefit of using your app. (it it works with excel, as I believe), is the fact that when you use it, you will be avoiding mistakes, common when you work with numbers,

Thanks and let me hear from you.

Just to be 100% clear:

There is no Excel specific functionality built into Automation Batch Tools

Have you read the description at:
http://www.microsystools....ion-tools/
?

It does not mention Excel anywhere. It is not for Excel automation really. (But yes, it could have Excel functionality if such a module was developed for it.)

It one word it is for automating wide range of tasks related to dealing with files.

For this is comes with some built-in modules. (And more can be developed)
