There's never a good reason to back up your most important files to another directory on your hard drive. Sure, it guards against accidental deletion, but if your drive dies, none of your directories will be readable! And the concept of backing up to CD or DVD? When the time comes, you'll never remember where you put the disk, or you'll find it and it'll have a scratch in it. With the cost of large external USB drives falling every day, Backup2 USB is all you need to implement a reliable backup strategy!

With Backup2 USB, you can create full, differential, and incremental backups that are conveniently stored on your USB hard drive in handy, space-saving ZIP archive files. At your option, you may also choose to create one-to-one mirrored backups of your files. Designed to be exceedingly easy to use, Backup2 USB ships with predefined backup jobs for the most common items - My Documents, My Pictures, Outlook and Outlook Express, Internet Explorer favorites, Mozilla Firefox profiles, and Mozilla Thunderbird. Adding new files and directories for backup is as easy as dragging and dropping. With support for version tracking, you'll be able to selectively restore any previous version of a file that's been backed up.

Backup2 USB even lets you schedule backups in advance, so you'll never have to remember to run a backup ever again. And with automatic updates enabled, you'll always be running the latest and greatest version of Backup2 USB.

Backup2 USB's simple, uncluttered interface will easily guide you through backing up and restoring files and folders. Just answer a few straightforward questions, and you're well on your way to being fully protected by external backup!

software guy Does this software run from the usb device, or is it loaded onto your machine? The obvious adcantage of the backup programs that run from the usb device is that they can backup/image several computers to a single hard drive.
If the software runs from the machine, does the software alllow backing up the single user's desktop computer, notebook and netbook? What does the EULA allow? Thanks!

fran harter Hi,

-I visited softland's website, which is www.backup4all.com.

-I am not finding the USB edition to be listed with
a regular price of $19.95.

-The "LITE" edition is the only one at a regular price of $19.95

-The portable [aka USB] program shows a regular price of $39.95.

-Questions:

1. is today's offer for the USB version that is normally priced at $39.95?

2. Or, is today's offer some type of
"Special Edition" or "Lite Edition" version
of the regular USB [portable] program?

3. If this is a "special edition" version, does your website have a description page?

Either way, today's price is good. It was just a bit confusing matching product & price to the softland [Backup4all] website.

Percy Kidpester Fran, you need to visit Softland's other website www.backup2all.com for details on this software. It is different than backup4all.

fran harter Percy,

Thanks for the info. I guess if I had googled "backup2" I would have found your other product(s) websites.
However, I just followed the link here on Bitsdujour.

A suggestion:

It appears that your "softland developer's website link" needs to be broken up into separate website links;instead of being directed to the website "backup4all.com" for any/all your products.
[you have the backup2 and the Novapdf products; in addition to backup4all.

While here on Bitsdujour, to find out more about a developer's product,
I click on the "Developer" link
[that is directly below the button,
"DOWNLOAD try before you buy"]

In this case it is listed as softland (4)

This in turn takes you to the page,"Promotions for Softland"
which shows all 4 of your Bitsdujour offers [past and present]

It is on that promo page where a link is listed that says,
"Visit the Softland website"

Unfortunately that link takes one directly to www.backup4all.com
website.

You might consider a landing page with destination choices for each individual product:
-backup2
-backup4all
-novapdf

Just my .02 cents.
