1. Is there a manual that provides the details concerning its use?

2. When it says that it can modify pdf documents, exactly what does that mean? There are several different kinds of pdfs -- full graphic, graphic with searchable text, and full text. Does this program claim to work with all of those?

3. You website is not clear concerning whether there is an extra cost for the sdk pr fpr the "actions library", and, if so, what the charge is.

4. Is the program able to search a large number of files for the presence of a word or phrase, and provide a report as to the results -- without changing anything.

5. Some programs that change the content of files also end up making unwanted changes in format or layout. Is that something that happens with this program?

Thanks for asking!

1. Please see YouTube video for basic operation.

2. Whatever you version of Word can understand, the program should be able to edit, as it uses Word to edit non-docx-based documents including pdfs.

3. Both the SDK and actions library are completely separate and are neither part of the product or this offer. Please contact us directly on our website about those as well as custom development: https://www.binarymark.com/contact.aspx

4. Yes, kind of. Just use Find and Add files tool and specify the content to search for. It will then scan the selected directories and compile a list of files that match the criteria (contain your keywords). Then you are free to use that file list for processing or simply to export it elsewhere.

5. It might affect the layout if the format conversion is involved. It should not happen for docx files though.

Wearsie Jackson ALMOST bought this deal. Looks great EXCEPT for the time limited license. Time limited licenses are always a total deal breaker. Very unfortunate because this software is very useful.

Do you have any sort of a "features comparison matrix", to show how your program compares with competitors ? [such as text pipe?\

BinaryMark To our understanding, Text Pipe might be somewhat more general and technical. Batch Docs is about working with Word Documents / PDFs, not generic text files.

For that we offer Batch Files - https://www.binarymark.co...fault.aspx

However, Batch Files, while somewhat comparable to Text Pipe, offers slightly easier work flow, has different processing modes, and can function as a batch hex editor.

I take it from your reply that:

1. You have no written manual for the program; only a video and a webpage.

2. Word will open a pdf, even if it is a graphic or a text-backed graphic; however, Word then displays the document as a graphic. I take it that Batch Docs will not be able to modify text that is thus displayed as a graphic. Therefore, it will only work with a pdf that is searchable native text.

3. docx files can contain graphics. For that and other reasons, I will be be impressed if there are not frequent formatting problems when dealing with tightly formatted text..
