CFGuy Hi, does your VPN service offer “split tunneling” feature, especially on iOS devices such as iPhone - where I could choose *NOT* to use the VPN with certain apps, but have the VPN default to "always on" for every other app?
Currently, "Nord" VPN offers this feature on Windows and Android phones, but not iOS devices yet. Although I do currently have a "Nord" VPN subscription, with such a good price point, I would definitely consider purchasing your VPN as well, if it does currently offering the “split tunneling” feature on iOS devices.
Additionally, I find that when I do use Nord on my iPhone and then try to surf the web with "Google" or "Safari", they will detect I am using a VPN and make me go through annoying and "waste of time" activities, they claim in order to make sure I am an actual person. These activities are showing me a broken up photo and then asking em to "click each box (of the photo) that contain traffic lights", before it will allow me to proceed, and God forbid I should miss a box with a traffic light (or part of a traffic light in it, because then I will be presented with a whole new photo broken into boxes, and asked to click each box that has a different object.
Is there any way around this, when using a VPN?
Thanks so much for your help. -Cfguy.

Artem User Thanks for the detailed question!
1) IOS split tunneling unfortunately not supported (nor in Mac).
2) It depends on the selected VPN location, if it's too busy and many people connected there, then yes - it's the same issue. For less-busy locations, we don't have similar issue

LU Trying to clarify, the description states "Lifetime" but "The Fine Print" states upgrades are only for minor versions.

Is this simply clickbait. Or is there a typo somewhere?

Thank you.

Constantin Florea @Lifetime Upgrades, It is possible for a product to have a Lifetime license which means it can be used for Lifetime. However when it comes to the upgrades part of the licensing, the upgrades a vendor can offer for that product, could be:
- no upgrades
- for minor versions (as is the case here)
- to the next major versions and minor versions after that
- lifetime upgrades

So there is a clear distinction between the usage period of the application (which can be a subscription period or a Lifetime period, this product has Lifetime usage) and the period in which free upgrades are offered during that usage period.

So based on the licensing policy the vendor submitted for this product, if you purchase during today's promotion, you will be able to use the product for Lifetime but the free upgrades you will have (without paying for them) are for minor versions only.

Also, I just contacted the vendor to help clear this out, just in case something is inaccurate in the licensing policy.

CFGuy Does this product work with Windows 7 (x64)? I am in the process of upgrading my system to Windows 11, but until then, will this VPN work with Windows 7 (x64)? I saw something mentioned about "browser extensions". Currently, I am only able to run version 109.0.5414.120 (64-bit) of Chrome browser (as Chrome requires Windows version above Windows 7 to update to current version). For Firefox, I am able to use "Firefox Browser Extended Support Release 115.6.0esr (64 bit). My iPhone OS is up to date. Will this VPN work for me on all listed browser versions (until I am able to upgrade to Windows 11)? Also - I prefer a VPN that allows me to "turn it on" when I want to browse anonymously, and 'turn it off", when I don't want to browse anonymously. Is this easy to do using this VPN? Some VPNs I have tried make this east, while others are designed for "always on/"anonymous" browsing, and make it nearly impossible to "turn off". What about this VPN (in regards to the ease of turning it on/off, when desired or needed. Thanks so much for addressing my questions. -Cfguy

CFGuy Hi - with this VPN, is it easy to "switch the VPN on" when you want VPN protection, and then "Switch the VPN off" when you don't, or like some VPNs, do you pretty much *always* have to be in VPN "on" mode, and not easily switch the VPN protection on and off? Please let me know about this. Thanks so much. -Cfugy
