What are people saying about Biorhythms Calculator

Constantin Florea Please notice the following Anti-Virus Note from the vendor:

Some poorly designed AV programs may incorrectly label completely legitimate and clean files as containing malware. Sometimes it affects our products and you may see a false alert in your AV program or when you scan the file on VirusTotal.com. This happens because we use 7-zip and NSIS to reduce the size of and package our installers, causing some AV programs to label these compressed/packed files as malicious.

In short, it is a false positive. And while you should certainly be suspicious of such files, in general there should be no reason for concern unless a file is marked malicious by at least 4 or 5 AV programs, with at least one being a respectable vendor.

We assure you that all our products are completely free of viruses and trojans of any kind, or other malicious software; as long as you downloaded them from either our website (www.binarymark.com) or from the links provided to you in your order confirmation e-mail(s) that came from our website (@binarymark.com)

RichV I bought this because the price seems worth the inquiry ... but: it's Saturday and it seems not to be able to activate over the web. Does it require human interaction on the vendor side? Also, there's an issue with moving it to another computer (fees).

BinaryMark Dear Sir,

Thank you for reporting these issues. We will reply to your questions by e-mail.

Program should activate just fine over the web automatically. You may need to run it with Admin rights. If you decide to move to another computer, there may be a fee depending on the license you have. This applies to this offer, so be sure you activate the software on the right computer, as it says in the activation wizard.

As for the crashes, please see:

Gary Smith If a user has crashes on the first day of purchase, including a divide-by-zero error, this program needs some debugging before this version should be sold.

>As for the crashes, please see: https://www.binarymark.co...aspx?pid=6
Wow; what an answer. The answer on the FAQ page explaining what to do in case of a crash is one of the most convoluted set of steps to take I have ever seen.

That page has only one FAQ question, and it does pertain to a crash when starting, in part stating that the program reads in the data at start to get to the same state as it was when it last ended, and if that data gets corrupted, it may cause the program to crash.

Reading the data in is fine, but it should be the responsibility of the program to ensure that data is valid or sensible, report to the user, and reset itself instead of crashing.

It looks as if rather than make the program handle a situation that prevents the program from getting back to an operable state, that you have provided a couple of complicated ways that should do the trick. That is lazy programming.

As someone that has taught programming for many years, you should make sure your program handles every possible divide-by-zero situation, and ensure it can handle any corrupted data, rather than push that job onto the user.

It might have been a good idea to check your Biorhythm to ensure that the offer occurs when you were at your peak to handle any issues. I checked mine; it's good.
