What are people saying about BitDefender Blowout!

adrian williams Is this deal for a single or a 3 PC 1year licence ?
If it's for just 1 PC it's not such a good deal - in fact you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
I used Bitdefender IS2008 until it expired earlier this month - very good but this year Kaspersky are offering killer deals, less than £20 for a 3-user licence.
Having said that - if this deal's a 3-user licence - I'm staying with Bitdefender.

adrian williams What bad luck - I was ready to buy it on dec 31st then the bits du jour server went down !
Never mind - I'd been trialling it for a few days. I compared it against Kaspersky IS2009 and decided to go with Bitdefender IS2009. I'd even bought the Kaspersky software.
Here's I chose Bitdefender :-
The download speed when using news servers isn't affected with bitdefender - it is with kaspersky's software.
I like the FileValut option - many software providers charge about $19 for this alone. The ability to manage all your PCs on your network, start scans, update keys, update antivirus tables etc. all from 1 PC is well thought out. The interface is good.
One niggle is - the ability to block all network traffic seems to have disappeared in this version. It used to be a right-click option from the icon in the taskbar. - Roger, is there any change of including this in a future upgrade ?
By the way, I bought Bitdefender IS2009 on 1st January thorugh the bitdefender website. I'd highy receommend this software.

adrian williams Whoops, the Kaspersky has the 'block network traffic' option as a right click. I've just checked on Bitdefender2008. It would be a nice feature though. :)
