Constantin Florea @jens hougaard - I am sorry about the issue with the license policy. The vendor missed updating the licensing conditions referring to the registration time frame, during the promotion you mention, but he did later on. The correct phrase referring to the registration time frame is:
"You must install/register the software within 15 days, and cannot do so afterwards."

Rougena Nadgorny-Trattner Dear Sirs,

On September 6, 2014, I took advantage of BdJ's offer for this software (order # BDJ-LIiyw6), and installed it.

Having some technical issues with it, my husband e-mail contacted the developer directly TWICE: first the same day I received the software & installed it, and the 2-nd time on Sept. 14, 2014, with a follow-up. Regretfully, both mails remained unanswered.

Is this the level of support to be expected from your suppliers? If so, this is nothing to be proud of ...

Just in case you may be able to "extract" an answer from Boilsoft, here's the original inquiry, again (as sent by my spouse - Eric):

==== Beginning of Quotation ====

Dear Sirs,

Earlier today I took advantage of your great BitsDuJour offer and installed a copy of Video Joiner 7.02.2.

While the interface is indeed straight-forward, there are a couple of issues I encountered already:

1. During installation, the Installer suggested that it is going to install v. 6.57, while – in reality – it did install what seems to be the most recent version, 7.02.2; you may wish to have this checked (although it does not affect in any way the actual performance of the finite program).
2. More importantly however:
a. When I attempted to join four *.ts files into a single new *.ts file, the software would ONLY allow re-encoding and greyed-out the “Direct Stream Clone”. This, despite the files being of the same type (both among themselves and with the intended output).
b. May I point out here that:
i. Even under the re-encode option, there seemed to be no *.ts output format listed (guess I could have chosen *.mpeg, in order to preserve the format), and
ii. That *.ts files really need no re-encoding in order to join them: even a simple command-line “copy /b input*.ts output.ts” would have done the trick of binary concatenating all the input *.ts files into the output.ts one.
3. Could you please advise?

Thanks in advance for a prompt & helpful reply,

Sincerely,

Eric Trattner

====== End of Quotation ======

Thanks in advance for your support in this matter,

Sincerely,

Rougena N.-T.

Rougena Nadgorny-Trattner Thank you Constantin!

Seems your contacting them was worth more than mine - they REPLIED!

Incidentally, while they stated that the first item (the version #) is going to be taken care of soon, they also suggested that *.ts files are not supported by the program.

Given that -- just as I mentioned before -- *.ts files can be binary joined, without any further intervention, I believe that providing support for them in the "not recode"option should be quite a trivial matter (for recoding, support is already there).

So what about taking care of this in a point release (could even be a minor update and not a major upgrade ...)?

Thanks again,

Rougena
