Vladimir Radmilovic @Mustang: It was temporary server problem (probably a security reason, due to multiple download requests in a short time). We have disabled this security measure so it shouldn't happen again.

@Michael R.: Currently you can only print up to two different labels on the same sheet at the same time. For more, you need to create and print designs separately.

HKP I use the Canon iP7250 to print on discs because it can be used to print directly onto printable discs. I haven't used paper labels to stick on for a long time. Does the CD Label Designer have a module that enables the label created with it to be output directly to a printable disc with the Canon iP7250?

Vladimir Radmilovic @HKP: Yes, you just need to choose a correct print layout. Type "ip7250" into search box to see which layout corresponds to your printer model.

HKP Just adjusting the print layout is not enough. Software that can print on printable discs must also be able to control the printer. It must be able to switch to the tray for the disc for printing. It must have a control for the tray to be drawn in. And it must be able to switch from printing on paper from a paper tray to printing on the disc in the tray. I can't tell from your answer that your software can. I therefore, assume that it cannot do all of this. I will therefore skip this deal.

Vladimir Radmilovic @HKP: Of course software does all this automatically if one of layouts for direct disc printing is selected. I didn't think it needs to be emphasized, no more than emphasizing other things happening under the hood. Layouts in CD Label Designer is not just about print position, they contain other information necessary for the proper software functioning.

robert User I have installed the trial software but can't determine how to direct print to printable CD/DVD.

I have looked at the layouts, but they are not defined for specific Canon or HP printers. Please explain where "search box" is for me to type in the printer name.

I have the Canon Pixma Pro-10 and HP Photosmart Premium printers which can print to printable discs and you a dedicated disc tray.

You can type search into "Find" placeholder at the top of this window. Layout named "HP Direct CD" should cover any Photosmart model, but for Pixma Pro-10 and apparently Pro-100, specific models are not yet included in the software. You can create it for yourself by copying and changing one of existing Canon layouts and set positions and size like this:

Left: 22.6 mm
Top: 147.8 mm
Outer: 118 mm
Inner: 40.6 mm

Alternatively, feel free to contact me by email and I will send you a file ready for importing. Of course, this new layout will be included with next software update by default.

Eric Dear Sirs,

A couple of questions regarding this software pack:

1. Irrespective of the User's interface language, is the software compatible with RTL language input?

2. For creating labels, does the pack provide a (hopefully really wide) selection of background images \ graphic \ art, or does it rely on the User to always find its own?

Thank you for your interest.

1. In general, RTL language is supported, but it was not thoroughly tested, so there might be certain problems. For example, regular text seems to be working correctly, but the current version draws Circled Text letters in the wrong order. We will try to fix it in one of next versions.

2. Only limited number of sample random photos and tiles are included with trial version, to keep download size reasonable. However, registered users have an option to click a button within the software and download set of almost 500 photos (various themes) and 120 tileable patterns.

Thank you for the very prompt & comprehensive reply :)

Item 2 puts my mind at rest, indeed.

As for item 1 - do you have an ETA for it? I am working in a mixed environment, in which LTR & RTL (of various Unicode-supported languages) are mixed not less than in an MS-Word document, so proper support would be needed.

It's hard to say about ETA as we just identified the issue. :) We will certainly try to fix it by the start of the promotion, but cannot firmly promise the success at this point. I'll let you know.

The list of supported commercial labels is currently not published, you can see it inside software, including trial software. But good idea, we will put this list on the website.

Various Neato labels are supported, also Avery, Memorex, Stomper, etc. It is also quite easy to create custom layout in case yours is not included.
