Michael Paul I am not overly impressed with CDR-Win 9 which I already own. Copying a DVD disc failed. Copying an audio cd failed. But ripping music from an audio cd worked fine. I am willing to give the software the benefit of the doubt as I suspect I may have a less than optimal optical drive.

So what does CDR-WIN 10 do that CDR-WIN 9 doesn't? This is a serious question as I may consider buying at such an attractive discount.

And why haven't the developers replied to the query by Jim Buchanan yet?

Jim Buchanan Oh well. I've got to go to bed and can't wait for the answer any more. Too bad I was considering buying two along with the cd's - one for me and one for my son. But, hey, if they can't answer then too bad.
You all have a good night. :)

Ezier @all: Is it possible to burn file over 4gb with this software??

Michael Paul It will burn a file larger than 4 GB as long as the file does not exceed the maximum storage capacity of a standard DVD-R of 4.38 GB.

Ezier Hm.. how You achieve this ? i see ony level 2 of joliet fs in options ?? i damaged few blank dvd-r's. In my opinion there must be level 3 or UDF file system. But there is no such option in settings.

Michael Paul You lost me. Is this a data file or a video file?

I burned a 4.19 GB video_TS file by clicking the option to burn same. A window with my file system tree popped up. I expanded the folder containing the video_TS folders, selected the appropriate file, then clicked OK. The path to to file appeared in the “SOURCE” bar. I clicked the large START button. Done—in just a few minutes. Playback was fine.

For a dat file one clicks on the option to burn same. Above the window the files load onto one will find two small bars. On the right bar put pointer to reveal icon that says “Load files”. The window with the fle system tree will appear. Select the appropriate folder or the files it contains (if several sepate files one wil have to highlight them all). Click OK and the folder or files will loaid into the window. Click the large START button. That should do it.

On the upper righ corner of the software is an icon that leads to an excellent integrated help menu. If that fails to provide the information needed the developers provide support for customers on their website.

Ezier @Michael: first i wanted burn 6gb file mkv ond DL dvd - burning completed successfuly, file is starting playing normaly but when i try to rewind its hang up. Then i realize that burned size is 3,64GB - i damaged many dvdr's. After that i started reading about file systems on CD/DVD, conclusion = need ISO 9660 Level 3 or better UDF. Unfortunetly in CDRWIN 9 & 10 there is no this settings. I bought CDRWIN 10 becuase i thougt that 9 is limited.

ps. I burned with 100% success with infrarecord, cdburnerxp with UDF file system. All my computers and players support it.
I've read many positive comments about CDRWIN, but i'cant find any informations about UDF. Besides what does it mean "UDF support for burning DVD structures" on product site??
