The other day, I was working from home and decided to go to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. Chris PC-Lock is a simple application that makes this type of situation a moot point. Using Chris PC-Lock, you can lock your computer with a simple tap, preventing any and all keystrokes and generally keeping everyone out of your stuff. If you happen to forget to lock your PC before stepping out, you can also program Chris PC-Lock to automatically enable itself after a certain period of idle time.
Chris PC-Lock also serves as a nice screensaver application. You can choose a series of images and colors that will display when your computer is locked - so you can set up some pictures of mice and fish for your cat to bat at while he's harmlessly seated on your keyboard!
