Chris @Danny,

This is more than a YouTube downloader. It can download from many other video websites 10000+, here is a list of the popular ones:

Also our software downloads 1080p videos with 256 kbps audio from YT and you can download easily YT channels, playlists.

LU Chris, so I have downloaded this software and the very first video I try to download from and (both were on your list of approved sites) your software states "the video can't be accessed from your IP. You need to use a Proxy Server from USA/Canada in order to access this video."

I then downloaded the ChrisPC Anonymous Proxy Pro. Ran the software using a USA and a Canada Proxy, but still got the same response after restarting the Chris VideoTube Downloader Pro several times.

1st, are there other steps needed to fix this
2nd, If I would purchase this software, does that mean I would need to purchase your Proxy Server software as well to get these videos to download.
3rd. I don't wish to try any more until I get this issue fixed.
Jan 25 2015 at 3:49am Copy Link
Chris To download videos from those sites you need to be in USA or use a VPN or something similar like unotelly (has 8 days free trial).
If the video plays in your browser then it can be downloaded.
Chris P.C. srl - Jan 25 2015 at 4:00am Copy Link
LU First, thank you for your reply, Chris.

Second, I am in the USA. I have used the no the software with no proxy. I have used the software with your proxy pro software using United States and Canada, but with the same results.

"the video can't be accessed from your IP. You need to use a Proxy Server from USA/Canada in order to access this video."

Third, the videos do play in my browser.

Tomas Barth I have ImTOO YouTube Video Converter. Ever so often it say that it can´t download a video. Is it same with this software? Many videos that can´t be downloaded? Or can it download all YouTube videos?
Jan 25 2015 at 8:48am Copy Link
Chris @Tomas Barth,
Our software has a free trial period of 14 days, you can try it and see if you encounter any problems downloading YouTube videos.

SuperBud How does it work with sites where you need to login to watch videos?

For example, does it allow you to download videos from Funimation, How about Harvard Business School's Extension courses or Private Vimeo videos?

I've check the list and didn't see them listed.

Based on your feedback above, as long as I can see it, then it should work. That being said, is it taking the actual stream, or just a screen-capture?

GLYNNE POWELL Does it work with Parliament TV?

For example with this link?

For the sites you mentioned you need to use the Link Finder engine.

The Link Finder engine is powered by its own browser for a light access to the video platforms or websites. Having embedded a multi-tab enabled web browser with light fingerprint, it is suitable for identifying the media URLs for the video content that you are looking for.

While browsing and playing the desired video content in the embedded browser, Link Finder engine detects and displays all URLs to video content, indicating the video type and the URL where the video content is located for each video found. You have then the option to add the URLs to the download list and start the downloads.

You can download the trial and check how it works.
Chris P.C. srl - Jan 25 2015 at 9:16am Copy Link
It does not, they use an old stream type.
But if we get enough requests for it, we'll try to add download for it, too.

SuperBud @Chris
I just tried to go on Funimation with the trial version of the software. I tried a few videos and every time I got a message that said the trial version can't download them because they are either to large or the quality is too high.

How can I try it if the software doesn't allow me to to do what I am looking to do with the software?

pestoking Just tested on a highly protected paid subscription site that resisted all those free Chrome and Firefox downloader plugins and addons. Initially did not work as the app said no videos present. Clicking around noticed this app had an RTMP mode (RTMP is some kind of protected video streaming technology). That did it and the videos that were undetected by other apps downloaded just fine in original file HD quality. So yes you can get free video download apps and extensions. If they don't work on protected content, this may work. Plus there are other features in this app that are superior to the freebies.

Tomas Barth This one didn´t work any better than ImTOO. None of them can download what I want to download, instructional videos about photography. Unfortunately I´m no technician, but when all of the videos I want to download don´t download, I wonder where the problem is.
Jan 25 2015 at 10:07am Copy Link
pestoking Tomas, did you try some of the alternate download settings and options? You have to click around a bit. Try the Link Finder and also try Settings, Activate RTMP.

Brian Turner Seems "some things" are not working too well. Myself downloaded trial version and just want to check it works, but have not been able to process anything at all. It states some functionality non-existent in trial version, have to purchase paid version. I just want to establish that it does work and that I will e.g. bre able to download bit os the BBC.
Went to a short video on the BBC - 5 mins and the messsage was it doesn't recognise there is a video.
Help please!
Alternatively, if I buy is there a money back gurantee?
Jan 25 2015 at 11:33am Copy Link
Chris @Brian Turner
If no video is detect using copy/paste, you need to use the Link Finder engine.
Check the video:

You will probably need to activate the RTMP Sniffer, too in Link Finder->Settings.
Chris P.C. srl - Jan 25 2015 at 11:44am Copy Link
Brian Turner I tried the ling finder emgine, but no joy.
My question still stands.
In the event it does not work, or work satifactorily is there a clear money back guarantee?

I note if you have a list of files/videos to download, it seems the only option is to delete ALL, and not just the couple that might be working.

Id this works more or less properly, I am a definite buyer.

Chris The video is a tutorial for you to check how to configure the software.
Just click on the link and watch it on YT.

Our software has a 14 day free trial, so you can decide if it suits your needs or not. We do not offer refunds.
Chris P.C. srl - Jan 25 2015 at 11:59am Copy Link
Brian Turner Well, that hardly inspires confidence. No refunds in the event it does not work.

And note it was not possible to download your demo video from YouTube.

Regrettablly, unless I hear or witness something more encouraging than hitherto I will have to pass on this, even though I was highly inteersted.

LU If anyone else has any positive comments about this software please post because I am always interested in software that offers a lifetime upgrade.
Jan 25 2015 at 1:52pm Copy Link
Daniel Gaudet I was looking at purchasing the lifetime upgrade, but it looks like it's only about 10% off and not 40% off ($80.99 instead of the regular $89.99).

Can we get the stated 40% off for the lifetime upgrade?
Jan 25 2015 at 11:52pm Copy Link
pestoking @Daniel Gaudet Usually bits deals are for the entry-level version of an app, i.e. the basic vs the pro level. That's why the big discount.

Missed this deal as it timed out...will put it on wish list.
Jan 26 2015 at 6:40am Copy Link
Gary Mugford Whatever happened with the ordering process, it went south on a potential Canadian order paying through PayPal. I kept checking back here to see if somebody else had experienced what I had, which was to take the purchasing process all the way through to PayPal, expecting that discount to finally appear. It didn't. In three tries.

I actually used the free version to download a dozen or so videos through the course of the day, mostly on embedded links TO youTube from various sites. With one exception, they all worked. Which was good enough for my purposes. I was hoping to get some karma by buying a pro licence, but it just wan't in the cards. I'll try again, the next time it comes around.

I wish I had posted something yesterday, but I was busy and today arrived all too early. Sorry. GM

Daniel Gaudet @pestoking Actually, I've bought many pro versions of products through BitsDuJour at the same discount (and sometimes even better). Sometimes only the professional version is on sale too.

Examples of software that I've purchased where the professional or multi-pack version was the same or better discount (or only the pro version was part of the deal):

Revo Uninstaller Pro – 5 Computers License (multi-volume discount on top of regular discount)
Text Paster 2 Business Licenses
Swift-To-Do List Ultimate
DisplayFusion Home License (All PCs in home)
BCS Designer Pro
X-NetStat Pro
Web Architect 10 Professional
Dr.Explain Advanced License
Folder Maker Pro
Start Menu X Pro (the regular version is free)

pestoking Thanks @Daniel I have tried quite a few downloaders for RTMP streams. So far this is the only one that works. The free ones suggested at don't even come close. Hope this deal will be revised soon.

Do you offer discounts for repeat customers?
