Cory Roberts I'll be sticking with Bittorrent Sync which will be free forever, this just sounds like an eventual purchase waiting to happen:

"You must install/register the software within 1 day, and cannot do so afterwards."

So if I depend on this sync software and install on the three computers I'm allowed to, the second anything goes wrong with any of the computers, or I get a new computer, I have to buy it to continue using it. No thanks.

Robert Snith They gave me license key but then I have to put in an Acess key, Secret key, Bucket Key, which you do not give me. Now why would I want to use this product if they can not give me a working product. I will not go thru hoops and hurdles to get something to work. POOR way to get people to use a product that is so much trouble.

Cory Roberts Same. They claim that you can use the software without any cloud storage, but then force you to input account information the settings. Contradictory.

After all the company name is "CloudBerry" > So cloud account is omnipotent :)

Cory Roberts @dtouch: You're right, but there are two poorly written sentences in the description that are contradictory to that.

"With CloudBerry Box, you don’t need to use any third party services"
They mean any ADDITIONAL 3rd party services. It requires 3rd party services like Amazon S3 to use.

And then directly after that:

"just install CloudBerry Box on any computer that you want to sync up, and all changes to files on one computer are automatically propagated to all of the others, seamlessly!"

They're trying to make it sound simpler than it actually is by leaving out the important steps of signing up for a cloud account and configuring access to that cloud account.

singularity @cory roberts.. :) Yup that is contradictory unless cloudberry owns amazon s3 and google drive :p
Maybe they meant.. all our syncing needs are satisfied by Cloudberry and we dont have to look elsewhere. They must rephrase it.

Under this statement we mean it is only Amazon or any other public cloud storage and your computer with our software unlike DropBox which acts as an intermediary between your computer and Amazon S3.

MSP360 @Cory Roberts , once you get your license you are free to activate it whenever you like. and you will be treated just like any other paying customer. I am not convincing, we are doing very well as a company and BDJ users typically don't convert)
