"An empty desk is an efficient desk," said Sam Lowery's boss in the movie Brazil. While you may or may not agree, ClutterKiller will certainly clean your computer's desktop and likely make you a more efficient -- if not saner -- PC user.

ClutterKiller is a program that manages your extraneous or unorganized desktop files (based on their extension names) via separate, easily accessible folders.

For example, say there are a dozen images, four or five MP3's, and about twenty shortcut icons littering your desktop. With so much to look at, how can you expect to find everything you need? In just a couple of clicks, ClutterKiller will take all of the images and put them into an "image" folder, all of the shortcuts into a "shortcut" folder, and so on.

It's that easy!

Nick Katz I don't know what the problem is, but two programs, my Trend Micro antivirus program and a-squared Background Guard both identified the installation file as a trojan. I would have liked to try this out, but I'm hesitant to install it now. I'm gonna wait and see if other people have the same problem.

Barry Keyles Nick,

I can assure you what you are probably experiencing false positives from your scanning software. If you would please provide more details as to what the scanners found, we will contact both Trend and a-squared and find out what can be done to prevent this false reporting.

We submit or installer to numerous lab tests and it has always been found to be spyware, virus, and Trojan free. Here are a couple of test result links:

Be assured we do not take your findings lightly and will re test our installer thoroughly

Nick Katz Barry,

Trend just said it was a generic trojan. a-squared had this:
a-squared Malware-Info
Name: Trojan-Spy.Win32.Banker.khi
If just one program had popped up I probably would have figured it was a false positive. With both of them doing it I was more concerned.

Barry Keyles Nick,

Thank you for the info. We believe we found the install maker we were using as the cause of the false positives. We have created a new installer using a different tool. We tested with both Trend and a-squared and both reported as clean.

Please delete the original installer from your system and download ClutterKiller again.

We hope you can try ClutterKiller without any hesitation.

Barry

Nick Katz Thanks Barry,

That fixed the problem. I'm going to try it out and see if I can clean up the mess that is my computer a bit.

Brandon Doyle From DoyleSoft: My apologies for the misunderstanding. I meant to say you can ENTER up to 25 articles. It doesn't have a sample database yet, but it will in the near future. Thanks!
