What are people saying about Codelobster Professional version

Stephane M Hello,
Are you planning to add other database plugins (mssql, oracle, ...)?
If so, do you know which ones and will those plugins be free for registered users?
Thanks.

Stas Ustimenko Hi.

If we will have many requests for some database type - yes, sure, we will add it.

Ustimenko Stas.

Stephane M Thanks Stas for your prompt reply.

The policy says "free upgrades for life" so just to confirm, it means that upgrades to major version like 4.x, 5.x, etc. are free, right?

Also, when plugins are added to the pro version, do they become part of the pro version and they are then free for the registered users or we need to pay fees for getting the new plugins?

Stas Ustimenko Hi.

1) Yes, all updates future versions like 4.x, 5.x will be free.

2) Yes, Pro version is a bundle of all plug-ins and, if you buy it, you will have all new future plug-ins also. Now we are working on Yii plug-in.

Regards,
Codelobster Team.

Michael R. I bought the -Plugin for CodeLobster last time on BDJ.

Since I suppose, there is no discounted update to the Pro Version: Is there the possibility when buying the Pro Version now, to re-register the already registered DruPal-version to another person sometime later?

Stas Ustimenko Hi.

Yes, you will be able to re-register this purchase.
Also Codelobster PHP Edition supports separate plug-ins registration, so you have ability to register Drupal plug-in only.

Regards,
Stas.

D Davis registering this product is a hassle. I guess I am suppose to copy information from a registry and email it to somebody else for a code. I want simple one-click developer. If I put in my email and address to buy it, that should be it. And even the hassle of having to retype it again and get something online is better than emailing information.

I already deal with lots of little hassles in my life, and why yes its a little hassle, its still ANOTHER hassle and shows your software in a poor light. If anybody were to ask me about this (and I do over 100 presentations a year) I will first tell them about the registration hassle before the quality of the software. Sorry, but your product now has to fight a little hassle imposed on the customer instead of one-step installation, registration, and activation.

1) I purchased CodeLobster yesterday night and the registration process is straightforward, I think D Davis was talking about another product offered on BDJ.

2) Thanks for checking into Joomla issues.

Do I need to open a ticket somewhere or post something on the CodeLobster forum?

Stephane M Ok thanks Stas.

If I can suggest something for the Joomla plugin...I think it would also be a good idea to add the path of the Joomla installation location in the plugin settings.

And what about the issue with the Theme Editor?

Thanks.

2) Version 3.7.1 will have fixed Theme Editor also.

disenchanted I am just starting out in webpage development, coming from a hardware/networking background.

Just a week or so ago I was reading about IDE's that help streamline the website creation process.

Then I saw this pop up on Bitsdujour.

How does this program compare to other IDE programs like
Netbeans or Aptana?

At first glance, this program appears to be easier to maneuver.
Netbeans and Aptana seem to just have an overwhelming amount of features that I am not sure I'd even need/use.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Stas Ustimenko Hi.

You may try to find some independend reviews.
Codelobster has almost all features that these IDEs have.
Also Codelobster has advanced abilities for many PHP frameworks and it is more fast.

Ustimenko Stas.

Bxxxx Oxxxx Codelobster Professional version for PC:
Buy process doesn't work'

This is actually $58

Constantin Florea @Bxxxx Oxxxx - Could you please clear your browser cache and try again and also consider trying other browsers like Chrome, Firefox, IE or Opera? You can change the currency from the top currency combo box. I just tested the process in Chrome and the Download protection can be removed.

Constantin Florea @Bxxxx Oxxxx - I believe the difference is because of VAT. This happens, if you are from a country where VAT is applied. I also get totals close to $53.00 when switching the country to European countries.

ron r "...with Codelobster Professional Version, you'll gain access to a broad array of plug-ins..."
Does this mean all the plugins are included? Or do they have to be purchased separately?

If they can be purchased separately, can it also be done here through this bitsdujour sale-page?

Does the free minor updates 0.1, 0.2 ...etc and free major upgrades 1.0, 2.0, 3.0...etc also apply to the plugins?

Stas Ustimenko Hi.

1) We have only one installation that contains all plug-ins with trial period.

2) Plug-ins can be ordered separetely.
And when You enter purchased serial number for some plug-in Codelobster "unlocks" this plug-in.

3) Yes, Professinal version includes all available plug-ins.

2 Questions:

1)
I assume for the plugins, minor updates (5.7, 5.8,...) and major upgrades (6.0, 7.0...) are also free?

2)
May I install it on multiple pc's? (If am the only user of codelobster on those pc's)

disenchanted Is the download area of the Codelobster.com website having any security issues at this time?

Just minutes ago I was able to go from Bitsdujour.com to the "vendor website" (codelobster.com) just fine.
I could maneuver through the codelobster.com website pages okay UNTIL I tried to download the codelobster.exe file.
When I tried to download that file an immediate Websense security pop up appeared which read:

---quote-----
Security risk blocked for your protection

Reason:
This Websense category is filtered: Malicious Web Sites.
Sites in this category may pose a security threat to network resources or private information, and are blocked by your organization.

URL: http://www.codelobster.co...nSetup.exe
---unquote-----

As I said, the webpage areas of the codelobster.com site I could maneuver just fine. No problem whatsoever. It was ONLY the "download file link" that caused the Websense security alert pop up.

Nick H This is the second license I've purchased. Unlike other deals on BDJ, there is no real difference between what you'd get if you paid full price for it. Also, Codelobster doesn't release a "major" update (meaning all they did was just changed the version number) once a year and then make customers pay more to upgrade to it. Somethings do need be fixed or added though. For example, it says "missing ;" where you declare a PHP trait. This is still my favorite PHP IDE out of all the options out there.

CFGuy I've never used "Code Lobster", but would love to learn how to code some day. However, the reason I'm posting is Nick H's comment above - " Unlike other deals on BDJ, there is no real difference between what you'd get if you paid full price for it." I am a bit confused by the comment, because as someone who has purchased lots of program here on BDJ, I've *always* gotten the same program (as retail (aka "full price"/"regular") version, unless it was implicitly stated in the program description that what is offered is not the 100% "retail" version of the program, which I have only come across very rarely (and usually choose not to buy). At least that has been my experiences as a consumer here on BDJ. No offense meant to Nick, just wanted to share my experiences here on the website. Thanks. -CFGuy.
