How long do you spend looking for specific files on your computer? How about those times when you’re not even sure what you named the file, so you keep on searching, finding nothing, and searching some more? Reclaim your time and become more productive using today’s discount software promotion, Commodore!

Commodore provides you with the ability to instantly find and open files and folders just by typing a few of the letters of the file name. With Commodore, you’ll be able to see matching results that update in real time based on how much of the file name you enter. When you see what you want, just hit enter or double-click, and the file or folder opens. It’s that easy!

Best of all, Commodore offers you an amazing level of customization to ensure that the program runs efficiently. You get to choose which folders are indexed for the instant search, plus you get to choose whether Commodore searches for all file extensions, or only the ones you want. Plus, the program is so small, you can run it off of a USB drive!

Jon Spain Has this been reviewed anywhere? I've not found one.

Jason Howard Reading through the features, I cannot but help make the comparison with "Search Everything" from Voidtools which is free.

Commodore seems to provide a subset of the essential features - but the more advanced options such as support for extended search commands (incl regex support), searching file contents (as opposed to only the filename).

Further Commodore major version updates are not discounted, there is no support, no returns (no demo available to test before purchase), and the purchased download is removed from their site when the BDJ deal completes.

If you want to read a review - check out Everything. (Just so you can compare)

Jon Spain Normally, there is a trial download, I can;t see it anywhere. It is disturbing that the developer has been utterly quiet today and the website still shows 2018.

Morten User Hi Jon,

Apologies! The app was released only in December. There's no reviews as far as I know. There's no trial version unfortunately, but it's a very simple app - you can see how it works on the site (

About 2018 on the site, yeah I will get that fixed :-)

Ed Ward When double clicking to open a folder, can the folder open in Directory Opus? or only Windows Explorer?

No Name It looks a lot like the free FindAndRunRobot (FARR), and I don't see anything to differentiate it from that or other launchers.

You can see a link to that, and other launchers on ghacks - it's a bit old, but most of the programs are still available:
