What are people saying about ContactCopy

Andreas Hoffmann Hi,
cool program, but what about the unlimited license, can I order this as a deal here or upgrade it later?
And is there a deal for copy2calendar, too? This looks interesting, too!
How do these two programs coexists, are they really two programs? I ask because they use to work with the same shortcut, ctrl-c + ctrl-c?
Thanks in advance + greetings - Andreas

David McCartney Shopping cart forces "Registration Backup Service" for an additional $3.95 - can't delete.

Jan 9 2012 at 5:59am Copy Link

Keith Norton Yes, the $3.95 useless Registration Backup Service really makes me hesitate to buy this. One really should be able to delete it. Apparently you can request a refund, but that's a hassle. Also, the discount on the software is not really 50% since their website is offering the software at $35, not the $40 listed here. The software looks useful, but these issues sour the deal.

WFN @Andreas Hoffmann: Unfortunately, this deal is valid for ContactCopy only, but watch out for a copy2calendar deal here!
ContactCopy and copy2calendar are two separate programs. If one of them is installed, the other will be installed with a different default hotkey. You can always change hotkeys.

LoquiSoft - Jan 9 2012 at 8:16am Copy Link

WFN @Davin McCartney: you can remove the Registration Backup service item from your cart by clicking on the light gray recycle bin item on the left. Unfortunately this is activated in an SWREG store by default.

LoquiSoft - Jan 9 2012 at 8:17am Copy Link

David McCartney OK - not very obvious.

SWREG makes you decline 3 screens of additional offers - very annoying.

Gerard Booth Werner, how long before I receive the serial code. I purchased ealier this afternnon and have received the order aknowledgment from paypal and SWReg but not the serial code.

David McCartney Same here - no registration code

WFN @David, Gerard: the license keys are on their way.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Kai I'm interested in purchasing "perpetual license" which is $10 higher than one year license as offered today here. Is it possible to buy with discounted price ?

Jan 9 2012 at 11:11am Copy Link

WFN @Kai: the license offered here actually is a perpetual license!

LoquiSoft - Jan 9 2012 at 11:15am Copy Link

Kai OK thank you, but just want to say: the price of perpetual license of your site is $49.95, and here displayed $39.95, the price of one-year limited license of your site...anyway, I tested and it's really useful software and I'm going to buy. I also suggest to add "The Bat!" to contact tools.

Stephane M @Werner Noska,

Hi, you previously said that the license offered is the "perpetual license" but the policy tab here said "Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for 12 months. For versions after that, upgrades will require additional payment, which will not be discounted."

So are we buying the one year license here which is $39.95 on your website or the perpetual license which is $49.95 on your website?

And does the perpetual license include all future updates/upgrades (minor and major versions)?

Thank you!

Jan 9 2012 at 1:49pm Copy Link

WFN @Stephane M: the license offered here is the perpetual license, which includes free life long upgrades.

WFN @Arkadiusz: we are working on a unicode enabled version.

Eddie Is it possible to adapt the software to recognize Latin American addresses? Is that the Text Replacement Rule?
For me it seems to work fine with USA addresses, but I have to manually move the data for my Latin American addresses, which will make the bulk of my contacts. For example:

Addresses begin with the street name instead of the number.
Phone numbers are 8 or 10 digits long, not including the area code!
People often use 2 last names.

I used to use Whopaste on my Mac http://www.whopaste.com/, and I'm definitely interested in this one for my Windows partition.
Thanks for your help.

Dennis P Werner, just purchased ContactCopy, love it so far.

Feature suggestion! Could you include the ability to add the "+4" to the zip code in your algorithm? (as an option, when possible).

So for example, if the highlighted address is 123 Main Street, Anyville, FL 33603.. ...you'd end up with 33603-2047.

Probably most (only?) useful for US addresses, but would be very handy indeed. And another selling point for your program. Thanks very much for consideration.

Steven Avery Hi Folks,

Interesting app. What I do not understand is why ContactCopy does not come with its own simple database inquiry.
