What are people saying about CSS3 Menu Unlimited Website License

Dexter Bell that are completely compatible with all of the latest
and greatest browsers, including Firefox, Opera,
Chrome, and Safari.

Errr, what about Internet Explorer?

Dexter Bell Thanks!
No IE6 is OK by me - I care about IE6 for browsing the web as much as I do horse and buggies for transportation.

Frank Stephens Check their website for numerous examples, CSS3 Menu can create a great variety of menus without Javascript.

Daniel L, I'll bet there's a 99% chance that you're using Firefox. Which browser has by far the best and fastest HTML5 support (especially if you have a decent graphics card)? Firefox? No. IE9+. Which browser has the fastest Javascript? Firefox? No. Chrome. Which browser has the most minimal interface? Firefox? No. IE9. Which browser has integrated Internet search in the address box? Firefox? No. A number of other browsers, including IE9. Which browser has Windows 7 integrated thumbnails and Aero Peek? Firefox? No. IE9. Which browser's tabs can be pinned to the Windows 7 taskbar, and allow websites to program the jumplists? Firefox? No. IE9. Which browsers have the most reported high severity security vulnerabilities? Chrome (76), Safari (60), Firefox (51), IE (32), Opera (6). I should also point out that such rankings tend to list vulnerabilities in the recent version of most browsers, except IE, where they lump together vulnerabilities in most versions ever released.

IE9 still lacks some basics like spelling check, but the Google Toolbar takes care of that, as well as doing all sorts of useful things like automatic language translation. If only some of the page is in other languages, just select page translation manually and Google will figure out which sections need translation automatically. It also tracks pages to improve Google search results, track your web history, and support portable bookmarks, among many other features, including Google Instant Search. Some of that is built into Chrome.

Dexter Bell Just purchased and the registration email states that I need an Internet connection 'before you press Register'.

1) How do I install on a machine that is not connected to the Internet (which I use for development)? Does it need to always be connected to Internet when using the program.?

2) But most importantly why does CSS3 Menu need an Internet connection?

Thanks,
Dexter

James Kenney Is there any limit on how many web sites you can use this on?
How about commercial use? Can we sell a web site using eliments created using this application?
Are the elements created by this application self contained(completely HTML code)?

//start rant//
If you can bereave it, the entire Health and Human Services Commission(HHSC) of the State of Texas requires the use of IE6!!!
IE 7 and above(and all other browsers) breaks our most important application(That was just finished THIS YEAR!?!?).
For awhile you could not even get to the Adobe site to download Flash(another requirement of our apps) because the page would not load with IE6.That forced us to install Chrome or some other browser to download flash! When the app was rolled out, we had to downgrade most of our computers from IE7 and IE8 back to IE6. But ONE part of the app required IE7 or IE8(or other non-IE browsers that are standards compliant) and had instructions that Firefox had to be installed so that the users could access that part of the web-app!!!
Hundreds of man hours were spent downgrading IE and keeping it downgraded, when they could have just had the web-app changed to support any standards compliant web browser like IE7, IE8, Firefox, Chrome, etc.
//end rant//
Sorry for the venting...

Ed Ward Two questions:
1. Can CSS3 produce "accordion-style" menus in a single column, with submenus that collapse and expand as the user hovers over the main item?
2. Is it possible to program a menu with a "persistent" second row for the submenus just beneath the main row? Contents of submenu row change as user hovers over the corresponding parent in the main menu... I've seen this on a site (don't remember where).

Thx.

Daniel Goldman Hey, I don't mean to speak out of turn, but this licence is for the production version. The one sold to us web folk who make sites for a living. I don't work for them, but I read their site and it said so. I am glad it is on sale, I bought it and it kicks ass. Saves so much effin time. I think if the customization options were a little stronger, it would rule even harder, but it is pretty awesome as it is. It whips out pretty perfect CSS and you know, you can tweak it further from there. I like that it also embeds images in the CSS too as text.

Anyhoo, I bought it and certainly dont regret it. Not for this price!

Gabriel Zastawnik I have no possibility to buy this app with a discount. It redirects me to plimus website, I put all my data including credit card info, and in next step (confirmation) it displays an error "this transaction cannot be processed: empty" and displayed price is without discount.

Now I am going to my work and I will lose this opportunity to buy your product:/ I have no internet connection at work.

But for other folks: I bought their wow slider and some other products at Bitsdujour when they had promotion and Ido not regret it:) They are worth the price.

Daniel Goldman Hey folks, I wanted to mention that I did get response to support requests at their site. Maybe they spend more time supporting users than worrying about sales? Maybe they need more staff, but my issue was answered in a reasonable amount of time.

Anyways, I am singing the praises for this app because I really do like it. Even without verts the horizontals rock. For this deal price, having something that does a swift job of making nice horizontals is good. Full price and no verts tho? Maybe not too sure.

I also have their Wow slider thingy that I got on the APP store. It's really nice as well, but it is missing one key feature: Support for transparent PNGs. Otherwise it is pretty awesome. The interface of both apps seems similar.

Mobirise RE Q Dexter April 30:
1) How do I install on a machine that is not connected to the Internet (which I use for development)?
Contact our support : support [at] css3menu [d0t] com, they'll send details on how to do it.
Does it need to always be connected to Internet when using the program.?
No, just for an activation.

2) But most importantly why does CSS3 Menu need an Internet connection?
It connects to our server to download a key to register the app first time. After the registration you can use the app offline.

Lupke Brother Can your menus be used with cms systems like Joomla, wordpress, drupal et cetera? I.e. is it possible to replace a cms menu?: Disable the cms menu and replace it by inserting a menu created in css3 menu?
Mar 11 2012 at 11:10am Copy Link

Mobirise Yes, you can insert the generated menu as html code to any cms. Unfortunately, at the moment, CSS3 Menu doesn't export the menu as a ready wordpress plugin or joomla module.
