What are people saying about CU3OX Unlimited Website License

S B This looks *very* good. I really like the "transition types" where there is a beginning (often gentle), middle, and end (also often gentle). Advanced, professional, and very end-user oriented.

Am I correct to assume that this license is for an unlimited number of website domains, rather than as stated in the BDJ Policy: "Licensed per website domain."

The transitions are very nice and quite adequate, but do you anticipate more?

Is there an easy way to add or remove single images without rebuilding the Flash file?

Is there an easy way to automatically load images from a database?

This looks like a great product.

Thank you!

Ed Ward Does CU3OX support simpler, more conventional transitions between images? For our site I think a simple transition without the animation would be more suitable.

All transitions are same actually., the thing you can change is the number of segments (1,2,3...10..15) and transition direction, speed, some fades but it's always animation. Anyway it's one of the nicest particle web design software I ever used.

Ed Ward, this is not a software you need and I cannot give you a tip here and at the moment CU3OX is to be sold.. But it's a good message to BDJ and you should be patient till the next bit comes.

Anyway, I can give you a tip to make CU3OX work a bit more suitable even for "conservative" projects.. One segment, slower transition and no shade., you can see that stuff even on the best websites today.

Software Guy If you are not familiar with the software I would recommend visiting the CU3OX website. On the home page (which is a good demo all by itself) there is a small red button labeled DEMO. The demos tell the story. You can run it in slideshow mode - one pass then stop, or as a continuous loop. Tons of uses - list sale items, run through a to do list, post upcoming events, just show photos, or use for a tutorial or as index cards. It is both useful and fun software.

Thanks for noting this! I went ahead and added a link to the demo page you mention at the bottom of the promo copy (above).

HJ B This is a pretty good software. It appears to work precisely as described.

I suggest two enhancements:

1. Make it possible to imbed a link in each graphic, i.e., either the same link for all or (preferable) the option of putting a different link in each photo. Perhaps that is possible already, if so, it would be helpful if the coding for that were put up on this bulletin board.

2. Make it possible to also generate an alternate show for users that are not flash compatible.

Question: Is there a limit on the number or size or format of graphics that can be used? I use limit here, both in the sense of "is it impossible" and "does there reach a point where the application starts to drag?"

Bare Prat Hi
- what's happening here?
This order was charged the full price on my bill!
No price reduction - someone willing to respond to this?

Constantin Florea @Eli. I've just pressed the Buy Now button and verified both Buy Now links in IE, Chrome and FireFox having each browser cache deleted and the discount was shown correctly int he Buy Now page.

The only way I can think of in which you were charged the full price is if you browsed to the product web page and pressed the Buy button in there. In this case the price is not discounted indeed.

We've just contacted the vendor of the product asking him to help us with your issue.

Mike Murphy I am interested in this software, but maybe you could answer the questions above:
1. Should I buy a license, I would install it in my PC and my laptop, one user only. Do you allow this?

2. Does this work with wordpress sites?

Somehow it sounds as if I have myself to blame for this...
That's not so nice a response. Starting there, I mean... blame it on the customer...
Having sent my screenshots to you probably shows that your suggestion has nothing to do with what happend.
Thank you!

Eli, I'm bemused by your comment above. I emailed you personally several hours ago saying that we would rectify this issue and Constantin just stated above that "We've just contacted the vendor of the product asking him to help us with your issue."

We take customer service very seriously, I apologize for the delay but we will get this rectified for you and we have not blamed you for the error.

HJ B It is odd that the vendor has not posted any comments or responses on this list? Does BDJ have any arrangement with vendors to provide some level of interaction while their software is on sale?
Sep 30 2011 at 3:48pm Copy Link

Roger Thomasson @ HJ B

No, we don't require vendors to participate here. Many of them have dedicated support/communication channels and don't feel the need to open a new one on top of offering a substantial discount.

HJ B @Thomasson

Thank you for clarifying the situation.

Having dedicated offline channels is not particularly relevant to willingness to engage in a dialog. A number of people have been impressed by those vendors who are willing to come on line., I think that a number of comments are made in anticipation of feedback from the vendor.

Perhaps those vendors who have a willingness to converse ought be indicated with some kind of symbol when their product is posted. That will save us from wasting time

1. No, the license is for one PC only, but you can use the generated slideshow on unlimited websites you own or develop. The additional license for one PC is $10, please contact support {at} cu3ox {dot} com for details.
2. Yes, it does work with WP.
