Claire Appleby I'd really like to try the iChords software but I'm unable to access the download. It seems as though any link that directs me to the RegNow website just produces a blank white screen in the browser, not even an error message. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Claire Appleby Hi Roger Yes, I still can't access the link. When I click on the Download button the address bar in Internet Explorer shows the following address - http://www.bitsdujour.com...view%3d323 . However, the page is just blank white with nothing showing at all. If I click on the Buy Now button a redirecting page appears very briefly (less than a second) but then disappears to be replaced by the blank white page. with best wishes Claire.

Stephen "Experienced Musician" Sorry,
Don't recommend this for the serious musician. In my opinion it is nothing more than a novelty. Trialling it on a few high quality audio recordings of basic 3 chord country genre (MP3 format), the best it could come up with was about a 20% accuracy, with lots of creative chords inbetween. For a basic song in the key of D major, it had trouble recognising the chord of D. Afraid I wasted my $50 (Australian) on this one.
To be fair, it shows potentential, and does give a basic indication of the key signature and as technology improves with future upgrades, maybe it wil be the way of the future. It's quite mind blowing how someone can develop software that can detect and decide which frequencies in a complex waveform are relevant in order to extracting the chords.

D'Accord Music Software Making transcriptions of songs is sometimes difficult, even for experienced musicians. The task usually involves choosing the best notes from series of possible sound combinations.

Much more complex than a simple procedural activity, music transcription is also associated to subjective issues such as the musician culture, musical background and personal preferences. This means that even for the same song, musicians can argue that their own transcription is the best one to represent that music.

In terms of computer music technologies, the transcription of polyphonic audio files is one of the most challenging issues. Automatic transcription would offer several benefits for musicians, including saving the time that was spent on transcriptions or looking for sheet music or tablatures.

With this in mind, we accepted the challenge and spent huge efforts in creating a real useful technology to extract the harmony, chords, from audio files. Our computer scientists and musicians worked hard until the point where we are now.

During exhaustive tests, our technology has shown the best results we noticed so far. We know that there are some issues to be improved, and we will continue working on them.

Meanwhile, there is a feature in this version that allows you to edit the chords recognized by the software. You can change the chords, the entry time and add the lyrics. Simply save your work and iChords will show the song with your editions.

Jeff Coleman I have been using 2.0 about 2 months now. You must convert the song/music to MP3 format or you will a "wrong Format error". Win 64 bit and Xp sp3

Pros: Playspiano MP3 songs / Music any genre. Any lead instrument ie.. Saxophone, Trumpet, Vibes etc..

Also has ability to transpose keys.
Play from any media. However it must be played through Media Player.
Load Ichord once/. It wil activate upon hearing MP3
Will display chords on piano or Guitar.

Cons: I have read that it can be slowed down. Unable to get that to work and no mention of that in help files. Must take the time to convert to MP3 format.
Cannot adjust the tempo.
Over all: Much better deal at BDJ than D'ACCORD

NOT AFFILIATED WITH D'ACCORDS. JUST ANOTHER CONSUMER GUITAR PLAYER.

Mark Johnson The D'Accord website does not mention any updates to this software since 2007. Is that really when the last update to the program was released, or is the website missing something? Is the product still being actively developed? What is being done to address the issues brought up by customer Jeff Coleman above?

D'Accord Music Software Hello friends,

Daccord iChords 2.0, works normally on Windows 7 with 32 or 64 bits. However, on this operational system, the way for iChords to be launched automatically, is not available. In this case, is necessary to open the program manually:

On the WMP open a song and hit "View" menu"- In execution". On the next screen, click with the right mouse buttom at the screen center chose "Visualizations-iChords-Activate". If nothing appears press "Play" and repeat: "click with the right mouse buttom at the screen center and chose "Visualizations-iChords-Activate" so the iChords image will be shown.

At the moment, there is no actualization for the 2.0 verison but it´s under evaluation so that we can available a new version as soon as possible.

Best regards!

Ray DiFazio @ Constantin,

On February 13, I got an email from Bits Du Jour offering this software for $15.96. As I have several times in the past, I indicated that I wanted the deal, On the previous occasions, I had received another email specific to the software being offered with a link to purchase it.

On this Ocassion, I did not. When I enquired about this, I got your message above.

Apparently there was either a hiccup in your software, or you have initiated the practice of reneging on deal.

If it is the former, I am pleased to have pointed the software bug out to you so you can correct. If it is the latter, I intend to publish this email exchange all over your web site.

Sincerely,
Ray DiFazio

Chris Roy Jackson Ray, That's NOT how it works!
The Emails that you get from Bits Du Jour offering software will come daily (usually between 12:01 am and 12:30 am PST [USA West Coast] ) after you have signed up to receive those emails.
THEN, in each daily email, there will be a list of Sotware with varying Discounts and the ones at the top of the list will be marked (after the "Title" (of the Software as "on offer" for " Today ",
OR
" Coming Soon " !!!
There are USUALLY 2 to 4 Titles for Today, but sometimes only ONE !!!
The Titles that say " Coming Soon " will usually (but not always??) be listed in the order of scheduled availability.
You'll never know (for SURE) what the date of availability will be for any given offer will be, unless the developer has announced in the comments for that offer what day it will be available!!
For each offer, it is available for 24 hours beginning at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time (USA West Coast) and ending at 12 Midnight 24 hours later UNLESS the Developer decides to extend the offer for another 24 hours.
You have to be sure and check the email evey day so you don't miss out on a good discount (sometimes 100%) for something that you want or need! In the past, there have been a few times that I have failed to check the email (for various reasons) and ended up missing something that I could have used, but couldn't afford the Full price!! Then I have no choice but to wait and HOPE that it will be offered again!!! :(
I hope that clears up the confusion.
Sincerely,
Chris Roy Jackson

Charlotte Sinclaire No matter what song I try to open from my normal library, I get the message that "this audio format is not supported." I think your software must not support MP4 files, which appears to be what I mostly have for some reason (maybe because I acquired a lot of my music via iTunes, or ripped my own CDs via iTunes, and I think that is the format it defaults to; in any case, that is what all my songs are). I can convert an MP4 to MP3 -- I tried one song and it played through your software -- but I would have to convert hundreds of songs before I could make practical use of your software. Will you ever support MP4?

D'Accord Music Software Hello Marcin,

If you prefer, or if you have other doubts in the future, can send us an email: daccorddaccord.com.br

There is an option to allow the program to show the chords. Please press "Able/Disable" and will be able to see the harmony.

There is no recognize for melody in the program because actually there is no software that can "read" especific tracks on original files like MP3, WMA or Wav. Once these kind of files are condensed, is not possible, with actual technology, to "read/listen" individual notes.

If you have more doubts, please email us.

Best regards!

Charlotte Sinclaire Also, although your visuals are very nice, it would be great if you had an option to turn the picture of the fretboard vertically, like you see it in music books. I am so used to seeing chords pictured that way that my brain won't make the transition fast enough to catch the chords your software is showing me. (It's my brain's problem, not your software's, I know! but it would still be nice to have that vertical view option, since is more common than any other, at least as far as written guitar tablature goes.)

D'Accord Music Software Hello Charlotte,

Actually, the program will open MP3, WMA, WAV files and audio CDs. Actually MP4 is not supported. For more informations, you can read the system requirements on the programa webpage:
http://www.daccordmusic.c...Produto=42

You can see the fretboard horizontally in 4 ways but there is no option to see it vertically.

Anyway, we are planning to update and if it´s the case, we will available it and inform you. If you prefer, just print using the option "Print" and will see the chords diagrams to read the chords.

If you have more doubts, please emails us: daccorddaccord.com.br
